So I have $1600 and there are a couple things that I want to buy

  • I kinda want a new graphics card my current one is a 1060TI I was thinking about getting a 1080 but is it really worth it?
  • I really need a new Processor since im still using an i3 lol
  • Another monitor just do not know what kind to get. I am not very smart when it comes to monitors
  • I am upgrading my RAM from 8 to 16G
  • Getting a new mouse what kind?

Any input would be appreciated

Your graphics card is fine, and if your i3 is 7th gen. It really isnt that bad.
I’d recommend a cpu upgrade if you really want but i’d get that second monitor first

Yeah I was thinking the second monitor too because sometimes its really annoying to alt tab from gmod and get back in. The only problem is that I know basically nothing about monitors lol

If your looking for a mouse, I could suggest "Razer DeathAdder ". I have been told that it is reliable. It's around 60$ but can be found as low as 15$ if you are lucky.

If you want a good HeadSet for your PC with a Mic, I would suggest the "BENGOO G9000". On Amazon it's around 20$. If you want more options on things, then just ask me.

Since nobody has put anything meaningful to the table here is what I'll say.

never ever by the 60's go for 70's plus in every series. So I'd suggest selling your 1060 and buying a GTX 1080 (standard, non TI its cheaper and still very good).

I suggest buying a AMD Motherboard, reason being is then you can now get a Ryzen CPU (Ryzen 1700x) is a very good CPU.

Ryzen CPU's require DDR4 RAM which is slightly better then DDR3 (which I presume you'll have) so when you upgrade to 16GB of ram I recommend buying DDR4 8GB ram sticks (buy 2 of them since it'll split the work load, which increases performance even more).

Monitor I recommend buying

And if you're getting a headset, I suggest going wireless with the Arctis Pro Wireless.

If you upgrade your processor you'll most likely have to upgrade your motherboard and ram.
8gb is average in this generation I agree you should upgrade to 16gb. Next question, is it DDR3 or DDR4? Most likely 3.

Monitor situation is only important with the types of games you play.

Reply with the answer to these questions if you want good help
1. Do you play FPS's?
2. What do you use your computer for? (Gaming, editing, youtube, etc)
3. How often are you on your computer?
4. Hows your audio situation? Need a better mic? Better headphones?

That's all I really have if you answer those question that makes life easy for whether you need a new monitor, graphics card, and processor.

(Also just because you have an i3 doesn't mean it's bad it's just an older generation but could be better than some current day things)

Finally, if you could give a list of specs of what you have, power supply, graphics card, motherboard, etc I could compare them easier and put them on a good website like PC Part Picker for the organization.

1. I mostly play R6 and Skyrim and of course Garry's Mod
2. Gaming and audio editing
3.3-4 hours a day
4.Need a better mic by request of Daymond

Specs:
Corsair HS60 Headset
EVGA B3 450
Literally just bought a I5 7600k (Overclockable)

GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB

^ This is my current monitor, I do not want to buy another one this expensive as it was a waste of money in my opinion.

My tower has 3 80mm, 2 120mm, and 3 Custom made 60mm

Uses Bluetooth 4.0

I hope your i5 is compatible with your motherboard because that would be a big oof if not.

Maybe get a Blue Snowball Mic. But I heard some mic tests and your corsair one doesn't sound bad.

Get some more ram

Get a 600 Silver customizable power supply. Always makes setup cleaner and run safer. Suprised you only have 450w

$1600 is a lot maybe get the new 2080 when it comes out if you want your PC master race pp to be 30 inches.
If not just get like a 1080ti for some nice shtuff.

Otherwise that your monitor is nice, maybe get a 1080p dual monitor just for computer space to keep life comfortable, 2 monitors is just nice, the second could be for watching youtube so just keep it 60hz and 1080p but make it same size as your current to keep your setup looking
