Good Afternoon,


I know that in the last couple of weeks we have experienced victorious highs and we have shared some horrific lows. However, even in the blackest of nights and the darkest of times, we can always pull a silver lining of hope and share it amongst each other. We are here today to share such a moment. The logistical head of the Legion known as the “Quartermaster” was able to finally take account of all the supplies and resources that we were able to seize once we took the Orbital Defense Platform in our initial victory. Due to our recent losses to the Obomination birthed from the UNSC and ONI the deliveries to Outer Colonies settlements were delayed. Till now. We got the honor and privilege to be on the first ships to arrive for delivery. The first settlement that was selected was the staging ground for the soldier's families that were stationed at the Outpost of last weeks massacre. The Admiral of the Legion chose this site specifically in respect and honor of all those families that would never see their Freedom Fighters come home. Pelicans loaded with rations, clothing, medical aid and build materials lined the hangar bay of a URF Cruiser as we made our way across the galaxy to make sure those that were in need and have suffered the greatest of losses were able to live their lives a little easier. Though we can't give them back the life that they held dearest to their heart, this is a little something the Legion and URF command can do to show their appreciation for the sacrifices that were made. In the chaos and the deliberate squandering produced by the United Nation Space Command, it was a pleasant site to arrive on one of the first pelicans to arrive planetside and see the reactions of the waiting families and friends of the Freedom Fighters.


As our Pelican descended into the hangar of an Underground URF Settlement Joy, Sorrow, Hope, and Dread could be seen beaming from the eyes of every young widow and child that we saw running towards us as we landed on the platform. As we handed out Care Packages and Supplies in the hangar there was a mixed aura the was produced from the crowd of people. Soldiers and civilians alike allowed themselves for a moment not to be burdened by the looming threat that continues to grow more and more dangerous by the day. The woman comforted each other in the loving embrace of each other's arms as the reality of their loss set in. Soldiers held children as stories of their heroic family members and how they fought for the greater good were told. It was a time of reflection and the comforting of pain. Then everything changed, while huddled together in the underground city, for the first time in months we could hear laughter in the crowd and joyful interact between human beings. I had to stop for a moment and take the whole thing in. We couldn’t believe what we were seeing but having seen it with my own eyes I am able to report the truth. The people here even though they had lost everything, stood side by side and lifted each other spirits and embraced each other in their time of great need.

It has been some time since we, the people that have dedicated our lives to the United Rebel Front and all she protects and stand for have allowed ourselves to look past the war and bloodshed and take that moment to appreciate simple things as our existence. That is what I had the privilege to witness today, not the squabbles between an oppressing overarching government or the struggle of a civilization to survive, but I was able to witness mankind look at each other and enjoy the company that they share amongst themselves. That is something that the opposition will never take from us and is something that we must continue to hold on to.


Being a war reporter I have seen and experienced many things, both good and bad on both sides of the war. I can tell you here and now that we must remember our humanity. We are not like the UNSC that rules with the iron fist of a government that passes laws and regulation without the opinions, concent or deliberation of the people that it will ultimately affect. We are not the member of the Office of Naval Intelligence that fancy themselves gods on top of the Mount Olympus not having to worry about where their next meal will come from or if someone will come into their homes in the shadows of night and take everything they hold dear. No, they unlike us have forgotten their humanity along with the people that suffer injustices and inadequacies across the galaxy. We must not, we cannot forget our humanity because it is what will ultimately keep us on the right track to a better way of life not just for one group of society, but for humanity as a collective whole. I for one along with some of you watching long for the days where that dream will become a reality. Till that day, however, we must continue to fight for our continued existence and the right to have an equal way of life. Fight for moments like these where the laughter of a young child makes everything in your world seem right. That is what we must strive for, what we as a united body must continue to sacrifice for. For without sacrifices there will be no victories. We must all do our part. Our Freedom Fighters will continue to deliver resources and supplies to as many settlements as we can so that all may experience a moment like this away from the chaos of war.
