Night Vision is a key cornerstone in military applications, and the ability to conduct operations in darkness is a good way to gain the upper hand and overmatch the enemy.
That being said, night vision would also be cool to have- meaning that now players can effectively move around in night maps, provide themselves immersion and a sense of tension, and GMs can actively start planning night-ops. There are several night vision add-ons to consider, but I recommend most that have a goggle-overlay, or can choose between B/W and Green.
And, as far as I know- the application is all client-side, and shouldn't add anymore lag onto the server (other than all these people loading their PACs in at the same time, cause they have to have their cool camos and guns on their backs and high-res textures).
