In game name: Naval STG CWO2 Beowulf

Any accommodations/Medals: Not that I am aware of.

Steam Name: Lord Bamajab (RS)

Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:41276677

Current Faction: Naval (STG Lead)

Time in current faction: Game time, most likely around 4 days, but I have been apart of Naval for almost 2 and a half months.

Purpose of current job/billet: STG stands for Special Tasks Group, and what we do is true to the generality of the name. STG does what the previous Naval branches of RND,INTL, and STF did. Normal STG operatives are field agents, which hold the purpose of completing sensitive tasks, and collecting intelligence on the field, but STG holds a research division that does everything from researching materials and foreign technology, to creating brand new technologies and actually designing and making these things.

Do you have teamspeak?: Yes

Do you have discord:? Yes

Have you had any disciplinary issues?: No

What Makes you a good Officer Candidate? (250+ Words). I believe that one of the strongest things which makes me a good candidate for Officer, is simply my dedication and my determination to do my best. When I don't know something I try my best to learn it, when I am wrong I own up to it and apologize, I hold everyone, both under and above me, to the same standard of behavior and work. In STG everyone has been required to be both active and professional, and those that failed to do either have been removed. I hold my men to a standard that is just out of their comfort zone, so that they have to push themselves to be better at what they do, and as they get better, the standard gets higher, and as such everyone keeps growing. When I need to accomplish something, I do my utmost to accomplish it, and although sometimes I may fall short, it is never because of laziness or because I didn't push myself. When I do fall under, I don't sulk, I begin to push myself to do better, until I am better. Constantly I'm writing up documents in between cups of coffee, and I'm always listening to feedback and advice. I try my best to not shy away from criticism or harsh words because I know that I can use those things to make myself both a better person and a better leader. Because if I cannot expect the people that I lead to do well if I myself am constantly failing. The divisions I run can only succeed if I am succeeding and the people that make it up are succeeding, and if I feel I am unable to do my duty I will be the first to point it out.

What Makes you a better Candidate than others? (250+ Words). I'm doing my best to lead STG to somewhere amazing, and as such I have been working night and day to do my damnedest at slowly moving away from much of the unprofessional actions of Naval in the past to create a Navy that warrants respect from the other personnel on station. That is my prerogative, more than any petty matter which is easily resolved with a 15 minute chat and people apologizing to each other. I don't let my pride stop me from doing what is best for STG, I have not done so, and I shall never do so. When someone points out something about STG or MP that is shitty, I look a little closer, nod my head, and say "You got an idea on how to fix that? Because I do". The only thing that matters to me is the improvement and health of the groups I am in charge of, anyone who stands in the way of the improvement of my groups, my people, will either move out of the way or put a bullet in my head. Rather than complaining about other groups or my own, I try to fix the issue. I also won't ever stand for gossip, nothing I hate with more passion. If my men have an issue they either come to me, or go to the person or group they have a problem with directly, but there will always be room for discussion. There is no way for people to use their brilliant minds to improve their group if they are silenced by an overly arrogant leader, but like always there is never any room for trashing a person or a group when they are unable to defend themselves or learn from their critiques.

Why do you want to be an Officer?: (330+ Words) I need the experience to improve myself, and I feel that if I did not seize this opportunity to improve myself I would be doing STG and MP a disservice. If I can prove myself capable of completing this course then I will not only boost my own self confidence as a leader, but cement my capability even further. I cannot expect the people around me to work hard if I myself do not work hard. There is no reward without risk, and I have to risk myself and my time to improve anything or anyone around me. I have the chance to utilize this program as a way to push myself and see if I am indeed ready for CO ranks, and I would be a fool to squander that. Whichever outcome the program reaches I win, if I am able to complete it I have succeeded, and if I fail I am able to recognize where I need to improve and become better for it. Already I have invested huge amounts of time into STG and have done my best to make it better, there is no reason for me to become complacent, I need to continue pushing myself. Cpt Roe seems to see something in me that I often don't see in myself, what that it is I am unsure, but I greatly appreciate the trust he's given me and would hate to disappoint him. I would hate to disappoint myself. If I didn't seize this opportunity I couldn't trust myself to lead people, because surely someone truly capable of being a leader would realize all that is at stake in this program. I intend to take full advantage over the opportunity presented to me here, and I intend to complete the course and prove myself worthy of holding higher command ranks. I want to learn the standards that Officers are held to so that I may begin to hold my own men to similar standards, and as such we all become greater as a whole. The whole point of participating in this program is for myself to learn and grow, and I have high hopes that I will learn much.

Explain the Purpose of an Officer (250+ Words) Commissioned Officers are some the most important people in the UNSCDF. They are the leaders of their branches and divisions, and it is their duty to make sure everyone under their command are fit for duty and are the best of their best. They are the managers of their branches and divisions, they are the people who's job it is to optimize, change, and tweak their work environment. They are the people who know what their group is lacking, what they need, and how to fix their problems, and if they do not know how to solve their problems, it their duty to find out. Commissioned Officers hold the most responsibility out of every other rank, it is their fault if the people they are in charge of become unfit for duty, or are otherwise not qualified to hold their positions, and as such it their job to either make them fit or to remove and replace that person. Commissioned Officers hold much in common with NCOs, but on a much grander scale. They hold great amounts of responsibility, and the credibility of their groups upon their shoulders. They must be willing and able to solve problems and improve themselves and the people they lead, and anyone incapable of doing such surely cannot be eligible to be a Commissioned Officer. They are the best their groups have to offer, and they are the people that will be representing the quality of their groups. Commissioned Officers are the leaders of the leaders, the representations of their groups, and one of the most vital parts of the UNSCDF.

Explain The Purpose of an NCO (150+ Words) NCOs are leaders that enlisted can relate to. They should constantly be talking to their soldiers, encouraging them and improving them. They are responsible for maintaining the morale of the people around them, and for leading the people around them day-day. They promote a sort of... decentralized authority, where the authority over enlisted is spread throughout many ranks and many people, this allows enlisted to have the most opportunity to learn, as they are constantly seeing through the perspectives of different leaders. They make certain that the soldiers around them meet the standards of the UNSCDF, and that they are fit for whatever purpose they hold. They make up the backbone of the UNSCDF and are a vital part of its functions. It is up to them to teach the people below them, and they must always make certain that things are being done, and that they are being done correctly.

Explain the Purpose of Enlisted (100+ Words) The enlisted are the common soldier the Privates, Crewmen, Cadet, etc. Enlisted ranks are truly a just a place put those that are not experienced, or have not yet proved themselves capable of being an NCO. They are soldiers, and usually do not hold authority, they are meant to be learning from their superiors and working to one day be an example for their underlings. They are meant to develop a sense of comradery between each other, learn lasting and useful skills, and work hard to become and NCO. Enlisted are important because they are a place to put people so that they may prove themselves fit for more and more responsibility, and eventually they will become the men who are training enlisted to become fit for responsibility.

What Makes you a good Officer Candidate?: I believe I am a good officer candidate for many reasons. One example is my dedication to the server. From day one, I have been committed to being active and participating in as many things as I can. For the past 3 weeks I have strived to improve my rp skills whether it be improving my military vocabulary or memorizing the relationships between ranks. I believe I am a good candidate because I am not afraid to ask questions and learn from my mistakes. During these past few weeks I have learned so much about how things are on the server like how court works, memorizing each ranks duty in naval, understanding when to use certain weapons and how they work, what is legal and illegal, how to use the ship during certain situations etc. Another reasons why I am a good candidate is because I can follow orders and carry them out quickly. For instance, not long ago I needed to make an emblem for naval internal affairs(which I have never done)which was done in a day. I also was tasked with making a naval roster for every member which was completed in 2 days. One final reason why I am a good candidate is because I take my job seriously at all times. If people are minging around me I will make sure I apprehend them or report them to MP. If a member of naval is jailed and I am required to get answers from them, I will be unbiased and interrogate them in a serious and legitimate manner. I believe I am a great officer candidate for all the reasons I have listed above, or others that may arise in the future.

What Makes you a better Candidate than others?. There are many reasons why I believe I am a better candidate than others. From the very first day, I have been determined and motivated to learn and improve on my rp skills. Other candidates may find getting to be an officer a waste of time or too hard, but I am willing to take the time to prove myself as a worthy candidate for the officer rank. Other people may give up during OCS, or put themselves down, but I refuse to give up and I will fight with every last ounce of stamina that I have to achieve my goal. Every other candidate may not be very active on the server, but I will be on duty every chance I get, because at the end of the day I will have learned and improved more than they have during those days. Some people may make the same mistake over and over, but if I make a mistake I always learn from it and try to do it correctly the second time. Some people may throw away their rank and reputation to minge and goof off, but I will make sure I am never tempted by others. I will also make sure I follow the commands of my superiors and make sure they get done. I will make sure I will rise above other candidates for all of these reasons listed, and through the journey to become an officer I will always try my hardest to answer a question or complete a task.

Why do you want to be an Officer?: All of us have goals, but there are some that will give up on it and some that will take initiative and work for it. Becoming a naval officer will satisfy all the hard work and dedication I have done on this server. Becoming a naval officer will give me the drive to play on the server even more because I will know I have an honorable and important role to fulfill. my passion to succeed and the drive to achieve my goals will pay off if I become a naval officer. I believe becoming a officer will help me improve my leadership abilities because of the responsibility being an officer entails. Becoming a officer may be tough, but I am ready for a challenge. I want to be an officer because I will have the opportunity to suggest improvements the server may need. I want to be an officer because I will become a respected and important member of the server. If I become an officer I will be able to improve my rp skills and knowledge regarding halo. I would like to become an officer because of all of the reasons above. I hope I am accepted and I am ready to become naval officer.

Explain the Purpose of an Officer: The purpose of an officer is to take command over a division or fleet depending on the rank of said officer. Officers need plenty of experience on the server to be successful. If an event is active, an officer can step in and Take charge over a squad. Officers are required to be experts at their field whether it be IA or STG, and show the ability to stay composed during stressful situations. Officers are required to demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities and be great role models to lower ranks. Officers need to proudly represent their regiment with confidence and authority. An officer needs to conduct themselves professionally at all times. Officers need great radio understanding and are expected to make some complex and clear radio communication. Certain officers need to have a exceptional understanding of the stations operative systems, like when to initiate the stations’ shields or how and when to fire a MAC cannon. Officers are NEVER allowed to minge or break rules because it would be a terrible representation of their regiment and their role. Overall, Officers are the pinnacle of what their regiment is and stands for and it is their duty to accomplish that.

Explain The Purpose of an NCO: NCO ranks are from PO3 to MCPON. These ranks are expected to be experienced and well trained in there field whether it be STG or R and D.NCOs are the backbone of there regiment and need to persevere in the face of carnage. The purpose of a NCO is to utilize their knowledge and experience to carry out tasks given by their superiors like hacking a terminal or securing an area during operations.NCOs are required to follow all rules at all times and take there duty seriously.NCOs need to be able to carry out objectives sometimes with no supervision. NCOs are expected to have a good understanding of radio communication. They are also expected to make clear and precise callouts during combat.

Explain the Purpose of Enlisted: Enlisted are the beginning ranks to almost all regiments. These recruits are not expected to know the ins and outs of every situation, but are expected to follow orders from their COs and have a basic understanding of the task. Enlisted are required to follow all the rules at all time and are expected to take their jobs seriously. Enlisted are expected to carry out simple tasks or orders with sometimes little supervision. Enlisted personnel are required to know to basics and requirements of their role depending on which division they are in.Enlisted need to be trained on basic radio communication. They are also expected to make accurate callouts during operations.
