So I have a idea for gm's to be creative and so can players, making planets that can be custom or in lore to the actual series/game franchise. So how this would work is that someone on the forums would basically make a planet and here's the format it could be:
Planet/Moon name: (name of planet that would be chosen by the player)
Type: (tropical, desert, arctic, etc)
Military/colony world: (if it's a military world or if it's a colony world)
Occupation: (if it's owned by SoS, HoJ, UNSC/ONI, or if it's under enemy control)
Defences: (if the planet is occupied by any allied factions such as the unsc it would have let's say 3 marathons and 24 Paris frigates and some orbital platforms, or if it's SoS it would for example have 1 CAS, 2 CCS cruisers and 12 corvettes and so on).
Notes or important essentials: (details and such).
Now for game makers they could if they wish, put the planet they put their event on and have it used for other events by other GMs. Now for factions making planets HoJ and SoS would make their own occupied planets and so would UNSC. If GMs want to make let's say a HoJ occupied world they would be able to do that if they weren't in HoJ themselves.
I think this is a cool idea which could bring some nice passive conversation to to the server.
