I might be blind, but nowhere can I find the story of the MERP.

I'm assuming the ship's name is New Eden...? but it's hard to make an app without a bit more substance.

Even just knowing the ship's mission would be helpful.

Yer apart of the PMC corporation New Eden, and the ship is Prometheus

Essentially the story is we're a PMC that was hired out by New Eden, which is New Eden Prime, that recently got destroyed. We do odd jobs for different people some of which include saving the Universe by stealing Pillars from a Turian Nationalist that has a REAAAAALLLLLY BIIIIIIG fleet.

It's January 22 2187, the ship bounces around from event to event, all you need to know is Shepard died during the attack on earth.
