2154: Birth
Affetta Seraphine Malohart was born June 2nd, 2154 in Naples, Italy. Daughter of Alo Primavera and "Dilly" Notrov.
2174: Political Tensions
The "Eviction" of the Vatican city and Catholicism's influence in the country has left it divided. North and South Italy face conflicted views upon one another. Naples' City Council is divided between the views, as radical measures are being established and enforced to decommission members from the chairs.
Malohart proceeds with her fourth year of education in the Medical Fields.
2176: Home
Due to the political conflicts the Council of Naples has divided with Catholic Faith'd members leaving to erect their own town north of Naples along the coast of Western South Italy. The town would become known as Dreamshore and governed by Stella Notta. Affetta would be brought along with these new settlers of the town and erect her own residence and estate. Buer's Hand Manor.
2178: Buer's Hand Clinic
It was two years later on, when the town had developed a bit more, that the Beur's Hand Clinic was opened with a staff team of Seven. The establishment was actually incorporated into the Western Wing of the Manor. The West Wing cellar being used as a small lab for the "RnD" team consisting of Doctor Huang, Doctor Flicia, and Doctor Malohart. They would conduct research for their own medical progression and often perform Medical operations such as X-Rays, CAT Scans, and in some cases Cremation. Eventually the National dispute would cause conflict for the town of Dreamshore and its people; With rising tensions and acts of aggression and violence, shipping companies from the north that were a main supply for those along the border (Such as Rome, where the subject of the conflict lies.) Dreamshore being caught between Naples and Rome would see much violence and chaos as those of opposing views would run rampant in the streets over the Bills and Acts pushed through and established.
Over time came desperation. Ties were made with those in Livorno for deliveries and supplies. A middle man would hold his company of mover's and travel to and fro with shipments to the southern coasts, avoiding most attacks by Radicals and riots. Medical supplies would come in at a steady flow, and the town would eventually be overstocked with plenty of supplies, until Southern shipment companies could poise themselves for distribution.
2183: Clinic is shut down.
Over the years, political and religious strife festered within the state of the country. Riots and eventually a Civil War broke free and wreaked havoc upon the lives of many. North and South Italy were at eachother's throats for three years. The middle man was taken out by another attack for "Southern Sympathizers" helping the Radicalss of Vatican. The Town was well off itself, but the Clinic... It was lacking in certain supplies. Sedatives specifically, due to the increase in business and bodies piling into the clinic for treatment and... Worst cases: Cremation; the supplies and equipment were being burned through at an alarming rate. Thus substitutions and alternatives were sought out. The small team of the lab downstairs would eventually come to a resourceful production of a serum made by the seeds of berries that have an active chemical compound that is a potent muscle relaxer and with the right additions in a mix: A suitable alternative to morphine.
Eventually they had an excess developed by the team and kept in storage. Months would pass and there would be a rise in drug use, discovered by the local law enforcement and brought to Town Hall's attention. An investigation broke out on the issue, and most figured that the rise of drug use was just simply due to the stress of the Nation's situation. Violence, Riots, War, and substance abuse used to escape. However, while most of this was true... It would seem that there were increased reports specifically to the town of Dreamshore's area. Often times those that would end up at the Clinic would suffer from temporary paralysis, vivid hallucinations, vomiting, nausea, dizziness. Long term consequences were epilepsy, chronic memory loss, and spasms with motor control issues.
The investigation traced down the line of this new substance called "Bliss". It would be injected or ingested in copious amounts to reach these ridiculous highs... Within a month, the investigation proceeded to track down the origins and source of production, before it became out of hand and widespread. As it seems... It lead to the Clinic itself.
It would turn out that one of the ground floor nurses would smuggle out Excess production of the serum, and distribute it to peers on late nights. This has been going on behind Affetta's back unbeknownst to her... The conclusion to tall of this was the Arrest and additional Law Suit against the nurse, but also the end of Beur's Hand Clinic.
2184-86: Academy, graduation, enlistment, training, and deployment.
Affetta attends Academy for the Alliance Military to better benefit herself in climbing higher potential in service. Graduates. Enlists and proceeds through Basic Training and so on for the course of two years all together.
Soon after, she would be given an offer for her potential and efforts. She showed promise and efficiency. Thus New Eden brought forth the contract. They owned her and she is now bound for service and deployment upon the Icarus.
What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? :
The original plan was to conduct services with her medical profession and knowledge in order to come out of service and reopen her clinical business. Motives eventually changed and she simply serves now, dutifully working alongside others for the greater goal that benefits the many, instead of herself.
