Alice, having grown up in Overland Park, Kansas has always felt isolated from her peers after her mother died from brain cancer. She developed a keen interest in virology (the study of viruses) as a form of closure to better understand mortality and to mourn her death.
Burying herself in her studies she graduated from the Alliance training facility on Unise, gaining her Doctorate in Virology along with her martial training in basic combat situations at the age of 20.
A highly respected member in her field, she quickly became Assistant Director of Center of Disease Control.
After being assigned to a small squadron to retrieve a special genome fermented into the soil of a planet off star maps she picked up off of an obscure Alliance scanner, she and her team were searching through a bioluminescent cave when Husks attacked her whole squad leaving her the sole survivor.
Haunted by the visions of her squad mates turning into Reaper shells of what they used to be and being torn apart, she felt the same grief as when she lost her Mother. She was determined to study the Reaper genealogy and somehow cure it.
The Alliance immediately dismissed bringing aboard anything belonging to the Reapers as a safety precaution.
She immediately resigned and lived in solitude with the solemn goal to eradicate the Reapers through research or by her own hand as she feels they were a cancer on the universe that needed to be dealt with.
After hearing about New Eden and signed up she finally felt at home with a fully stocked lab, and everything she needs to help eradicate the Reapers along with her crew mates.
What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? : Alice plans to help the Icarus by using her bioengineering skills to the ends of the destruction of the Reapers.
She plans to use the extensive resources of New Eden and the Alliance to further her ends for what she feels is for the good of the human race no matter the cost of what the price is for her or anyone else.
She is a stern and powerful ally against the Reapers and a skilled scientist that was hired by New Eden solely based on her Virology expertise.
