Jeenu'Teelin was born in 2163 aboard the Tonbay, Jeenu's parents were medical staff and had taken care of the crew for many years. As a Child Jeenu watched her parents take care of the Tonbay crew, and gradually her love of the medical field. Jeenu's parents were very close friends of Admiral Shala'Raan due to being the medical staff on the ship and helped Shala'Raan recover from delivering Tali'Zorah into the world. At the age of 10 Jeenu was given her first suit, that day is the proudest moment in her life, knowing how special and important this suit was. as she grew older her parents allowed her to step in as an assistant in the clinic, lighting the load on them, and giving her more experience in a field they new she loved and desired to advance.The medbay on the Tonbay wasn't very big, with very advanced technology but not enough room to carry all the essential equipment needed in the medbay due to the fact the Tonbay was origanally designed as a home defense cruiser which the crew had retrofited in the following years after the evacuation of the Quarian homeworld of Rannoch to allow for longer traveling periods.
Jeenu's great great grandfather, Kaar'Teelin had been a engineer and was an engineer in a Geth research facility, and was dangerously aware of how much risk each advancement into the Geth programming was. He had cautioned the head of the Research team but he did not heed his warning, and when the kill all order went out on all Geth units, he was the first to bear arms against the supposed threat, destroying his whole research facility, and the companies factories in a matter of hours, but after the Geth began to fight back, he knew that the war was lost, he fought for many months before the evacuation begun and fought for 3 more months until he finally got his turn to leave the planet, being one of the last ships to leave the Quarian home world. Kaar lost his brother in the fighting, having only seen him one time during the war, only for a few minutes before Kaar's squad was sent out to escort a group of evacuees to the safe haven they were staged at, Kaar did not learn of his death until the day he evacuated and as he was evacuated he fought viciously to protect every man, women, and child being extracted of the planet, and to avenge the death of his beloved younger brother, who had brought joy to his life. He became a CO of security on the Tonbay, and after 15 years of valued, and service to the ship he retired to settled down and build a family, yet never letting go of his grudge against the Geth, and passing it down to future generations
During her time in the Medbay she learned more and more about the Quarian immune system, and decided that it would be her lifelong goal to find some form of cure to allow Quarian's to take off their environmental suits and actually be able to be physically active with others, rather than trapped in the suit all Quarian's call home. Due to always being in the medical bay Jeenu was never very sociable with other children, and was very shy around patients and couldn't strike up casual conversation with them, only being able to talk about the operation or situation on hand, she would eventual overcome this but tints of this still lingers, with her being very shy and closed, not allowing others to know much about her personal life. On her 16th birthday, tragedy struck, there had been a breach in her mothers suit, and the fail-safe systems malfunctioned, Jeenu did the best she could with her father to save her mother, but she couldn't be saved, she died just a few short hours later, laying in a bed she had once tended to others on, Her father was never the same after that. He grew distant from Jeenu and didn't even see her off on her Pilgrimage. Jeenu never even went to her mother's funeral, due to being needed in the medical bay for an important operation that would help improve conditions on the ship, but due to the major stress on her kind, especially being 16, she messed up the whole operation, creating a failure, and becoming disliked by the rest of the staff, which was only 2 other people excluding her dad, all of her time spent away from the medbay was spent learning about medical procedures, sleeping, or balling up in the corner and wishing for things to change, but nothing was going to change, as she grew older she saw her Pilgrimage as a way to amend her failure that day, and to change the way the Tonbay, and the rest of the Quarian's, felt about her. After 5 years of being on the Tonbay, he retired as CO of the Security team and settled down to have a child with his wife;
Jeenu left the Tonbay for her Pilgrimage at the age of 18, and left in search for a supplement to help improve the immune system of all Quarians. After 1 year she joined up with an alliance exploration team tasked to discover new worlds on the border of our galaxy and to study new plant, animal, and alien life on these planets, there she had met a human engineer named Emily who had been assigned to the exploration team, to help maintain the ship and to create home bases on the planets they discovered. Jeenu decided to use this women as a test subject, so she could gain more knowledge on the culture, and history of the Human race, so she would follow the woman around, asking her questions about everything she could think of to ask about another species, she asked about genetics, organs, illnesses, foods, culture, history. In time she grew to love the human race, and accepted them as an advanced, and good species to be involved with. Emily was the first person she ever really opened up to, the only person to tell her deepest darkest secrets, she thought that finally opening up would be scary, but it wasn't it was like a giant weight was lifted off her shoulders, she was free of her burden's. After 2 years of searching she eventually found a plant with the exact structure she needed to finalize her supplement, she was overjoyed with her discovery and couldn't wait to bring it back to the Migrant Fleet and spread word of it's existence, she planned on cloning the plant to make a widespread cure for the weak immune system and to allow Quarians to leave their environmental suits behind, and let the sunshine hit their skin. During their travel back to the Alliance her ship was attacked, and the last living specimen of a rare plant species, known only as, chloyeamondono, was destroyed in the attack, along with the navigational log to the planet. She returned to fleet later that year for a brief time, only to tell the news of her pilgrimage, she had debated going to see her father one last time before she departed on her second voyage, but decided not to return to see her father until she can make him proud and honored to have her as his daughter. She got in contact with Emily, and fought out that she had left the Alliance and had joined New Eden to better help combat the reapers. She hopes that this time around she can make an impact on not only her species but for all the species in the galaxy after having interacted with so many different, interesting, and kind people during her time with the Alliance. After joining New Eden Jeenu tried to contact Emily before she was deployed to her new home ship, but as she would find out just days before arriving, Emily's ship, the Daemon of Polemos, was Destroyed while defending a world against a reaper invasion, Jeenu was devasted by this lost, and all the weight that had once been lifted came crashing down on her shoulders, drawing Jeenu into her core and not allowing anyone in, to prevent her from being hurt ever again.
What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? : Jeenu wants to improve the lives of all species in the galaxies and to rid the universe of the Reaper threat. She was hired due to her Medical and Scientific prowess and the drive to help others before herself.
