Lilia's eyes shot open as she took in a quivering breath. She blinked away tears, bluish-purple blood streaking down her forehead. She'd just been in a ship crash, but.. why? It hurt to think too much, pain streamed like lightning through her skull, causing her to wince. She was born on the Citadel, apparently taken by her father. His criminal past had overshadowed him, and transported himself with his daughter to the Terminus systems in search of refuge. She looked around her surroundings, automobile-like vehicles streaking through the sky. The amber, lava-like sky caused her to give a light groan. She was on Chalkhos, now she remembered. She crawled out of the small shuttle, metal creaking under her knees. She was employed by the Aerinus General Hospital as medical-staff there. It was just a matter of time before she found out the under-the-table slave trade that the Head Staff was enabling there. She had to get out of that situation, and fast.
Ten years ago, she'd been on Elysium when Batarian thugs had staged a full-blown attack on the planet. She escaped that, she could probably get out of this situation as well. She slowly began to limp away from the bridge, when the throaty growl of a Krogan was heard as well as a small mechanical whirring. A thug was propped up against the wall, holding out a Scimitar scattergun towards the Asari. Lilia gave a look of horror, his leg was practically destroyed, the bone cracked and splinted out of the skin. The Krogan gave off a throaty groan, "You're not one of those- gruag.. Quarian bastards.." He slightly raised the scattergun up, "Where.. the hell did they go?"
Lilia was frozen in shock, "I.. I-" The Krogan was fed up with her, he'd go to pull back on the trigger, before voices were heard from the next room. Human voices. His head turned to look, Lilia taking this opportunity to run. A burst of mass-effect rounds would slam into the wall next to her, just barely missing. She squirmed behind a trash can, barely being unseen by the Alliance personell sweeping the room. The Krogan attempted to stand up, letting out a guttural roar as he fell to the ground once more. He'd aim the shotgun up at the forces, quickly being put down by the massive Avenger assault-rifles the soldiers carried. One of the soldiers rounded the corner, yelling out towards the others as they spotted the hiding Asari, "We got a survivor, over here!" She attempted to run, put into a bear hug by the Alliance personell to prevent her from struggling, which she did anyway of course. She was in turn questioned, taken into a nearby shuttle.
What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden?: She was taken in by New Eden forces aboard Chalkhos. Her escape from Aerinus was just about a week ago. Her goal is simply to help as many people she can, and her medical experience qualified her for that.
