Before the Battle of the Great Bear Ranul resided in a small town within Lemuria on 1830, Groombridge. At age 3 on December 24, 2530 her family was at their home with her step brother and caretaker when the battle between the three covenant ship and the UNSC broke out.
The only recorded account was given from a woman named “Jan Kathy” who took over care of the two after the incident.
“Lyn was a kind woman. I often watched the two while she worked. That day I had just finished talking with their mother and she was walking out to head to work. As she left I had a bad feeling but ignored it and was keeping a eye on the little ones. When everyone realized the battle was happening I got them and myself to the downstairs basement bunker and tried to call Lyn. She never picked up.. I should never have let her leave.”
The report on “Lyn Ranul” was never publicly released. Cause of death was assumed to be covenant infiltration or hostiles. The body was not reported found.
At the age of 21 after her half brother had moved away to another town and was managing on his own Ranul enlisted in the UNSC to help defend people like those there during the battle had done for her planet.
