Hello All,

It has come to my attention that there is some current issues issues among the community involving our events. Such a topic being the length or frequency of events. For the longest time we have found it difficult to fine the sweet spot in frequency and length and would like your feedback on the topic. Would you like to something around 2-3 1 hour-1 1/2 hour long events, or would do you prefer the current 2 1 1/2 hour-3 hour long events? If you do not want either of these options then please leave a suggestion as too what you would believe to be a better solution.

Note:
If more frequent/shorter events are wanted, once we complete our quota for the day then I will ask of no more events from my GMs. So if they are done early in the day, do not expect GMs to do more off map events.

Note
: We as GMs take it upon ourselves to dedicate our time to the server thus, we must work our schedules around the server which can often cause conflict with other player desires such as training/tryouts. Do bare this in mind when making your decision.

It really is, short evens are fine and even longer events but dont cram everything into one day.

One thing I would also recommend is to give all leads access to a time chart so that they can claim a time for training/tryouts so that there won't be an event during that time.

That was something we all considered back when Atlas first made the time claim chart, but at the time it was generally assumed that you were going to do the event no matter what was going on, with the exception of mini events. But now I think the issue is that a Gamemaker will typically claim their event a day in advance at the very most, because committing to anything is pretty hard for most of our team, because IRL does happen and it’s hard to make a commitment without knowing for sure.

from my own perspective in view here, getting the server to have more quality in the events would be a massive improvement over long drawn out campaigns with no real meaning.

I think that on map events should be kept to anomalies, civilian ships coming for refuel, maybe the occasional UNSC ship coming to do some much needed R&R and to restock on supplies. Having a Covenant strike force attacking the planet to kill the HoJ doesn't seem very likely when a station is nearby.

+1 for higher-quality, but less events. Mini-events especially seem like they are often low-quality. Things like ghosts or necroa viruses attacking the station get old, but are constantly recycled, especially at night.
