The Asari… the first race to discover the citadel, sending them forward in stature, allowing them to aid creating the council, and the Spectre program. This elite society, allowing its members to carry out the orders of the citadel council across the galaxy, held back by none, and scared of no one. Their stories are carried across the galaxy… at least those that are spoken about. Growing up on Thessia, Reje Mahki’s looked up to these people as gods, living her life in order to join the ranks of these elite corps. Reje had a passion for this life, training every single day, for longer than most can live for. Her determination never letting up. She grew up in the home of her parents, her mother, an Asari named Kalath, and her father, a Turian by the name of Greith. Her father was a strong man, trained in the military, but kind and warm at his heart, her mother was similar, kind as any person could be, but a superb teacher of combat, expert sing in stealth and reconnaissance. She learned all about fighting and the rules of combat from these two, moving quickly through lessons and skills. At the age of ninety three, she began to mature further, she saw her parents as “too soft”. She began to treat them as beneath her, and they were… her skills had surpassed that of her parents., and those who had been hired to train her to fight, live, and use their biotics. She treated her parents horribly, tossing them aside, moving to more advanced training with Commandos, and anyone who could teach her anything. By the age of one hundred five, she had joined the elite ranks of the Asari Commandos, while here she had festered a hatred for ardat Yakshi and pure bloods, this hatred was the spark that ignited her personality to take on a dark appearance. She became a dark, quiet deadly person. She was feared by her peers, and even teachers. She excelled in her classes, and finished her training early. She went on many missions with the commandos, hunting down many ardat yakshi, and doing whatever their commands entailed. No matter how hard the commands, or how dark. Even when her fellow soldiers could not complete a dark task, she would wordlessly follow through, only adding to the fear that she was viewed with. Throughout her travels, visiting Omega and the citadel for missions, her chain of influence and information had grown, she kept her Identity secret during her dealings, those who she met only seeing her as a mysterious person, someone to fear. The feeling of many fearing you can be very intoxicating, poisoning the minds, like a drug. Only wanting more. Reje was hooked, wanting more. Willing to do more, to do anything to gain more respect out of fear. Her self-confidence had turned in to all out pride, she saw herself as invincible, and she felt offended personally that she had not been given a position in the Spectre’s yet. She became so angry, she traveled to the citadel, and barged in on a meeting of the council with the humans, she began to angrily lecture the council members, telling them to give her a position, demanding to know what was wrong with her, why she was not being put into the program. The council members, scared out of their minds decided out of fear to grant her a trail, they gave her an impossible mission, attempting to rid themselves of this crazy Asari, they wanted her to single handedly infiltrate a ship belonging to the turian extremists, and take the commander of the vessel as a prisoner, returning him to the citadel. Her dark façade broke for a moment of pure joy as she stormed from the room to commence her mission. She was so laser focused on this chance to achieve her goal, that the details of how impossible this assignment was. She prepped herself, taking her painted Purple M-96 Mattock, and her Disciple Pistol, adorning her Black body suit, laced with a strong threaded fabric, giving her extreme movement capabilities, with a competent armor, she placed raised the hood on the suit, and prepped herself by going over the mission details, and layout of the ship, she was joined by a Spectre by the name of Seren, who was to drop her at the ship, and leave on his way to his own mission, the ride was quiet, and neither said anything, each in turn somewhat intimidated by the other. Once they arrived, Reje boarded silently, moving through the halls of the ship, the vessel was large, the journey from the entry point to the bridge was long, and daunting, she avoided killing too many of the turians, hiding the bodies, and continuing on her mission, once she reached the bridge, she was nearly ready to barge in, killing all but her target, but saw the captain’s quarters out of the corner of her eye, she decided to wait, entering the room, hiding in the shadows. Waiting for her target to enter. As her the door opened, and Reje prepared to pounce, she stopped frozen. The turian walking into the room was undoubtedly Greith Mahki’s, her father. Whom she had not seen in years since disowning her family to pursue this life. She decided then and there that she would complete her mission, just as her father spotted her, realizing who it was, her Purple skin and Black facial markings and tattoo’s unmistakable. She could not follow through, her father had thought she was coming back to him, trying to rekindle the relationship, he was elated, taking her through the ship, showing her off to his friends and his men, her brought her to the bridge with him for the next couple days, she stayed quiet. It had been nearly a year, the council had assumed she was deceased, she could not take the split in her mind between following her life’s goal, and the feeling of love her father had for her, and the abuse he and her mother had taught her, she broke one night, while all were asleep, bursting into the bridge, killing the night crew mercilessly, and setting a course for the ship to crash into an uncharted planet, she knocked her father unconscious, loaded into a pod, and escaped the ship, they landed first, as she sat up from the crashed pod on a grassy hill, watching the night sky and all the stars, she saw the ship coming closer and closer until it slammed into the forest miles from them, everyone aboard dying, and herself stranded on the planet, new to her with only the father she had betrayed. Once he awoke and found what had happened, he surrendered to her, and became her prisoner, knowing fighting was futile. They travelled for days, finding no signs of life, until a small trail of smoke was seen, rising from some trees. They followed it, and came upon a village, resembling that of earthen houses in medieval times on the planet. They found that the inhabitants were a mix of krogans, salarians, and some asari, who had settled. Reje decided to spend the night, leaving her father locked in the room, and going out on the new town. She met many people, and ended up drinking with one in a bar. They talk about life, and all that mattered to her. After that night, she did not want to leave, she was obsessed with this man she had met, his name had been Jaral, a Krogan who had left his home to find new adventures, only to end up alone on a lonely planet, or so he said… they spent months together, her father secretly held in a tavern, and she and Jaral living in his home. One day, Jaral seemed a bit out of it, he had a faraway look, as if he knew something. Her opened the closet in their house to reveal her father standing there, Reje was so beside her self, that she became enraged, Jaral, fearing for his life and her fathers, grew defensive, taking a knife just in case, when Reje leaped at him, he swung, slicing up from her hand to her face and scalp crests, creating a deep dark scar, she reeled back, and with little ease, disarmed her love, slicing his throat, and executing her father. Covered in blood, she left the home, stole a ship and returned to the citadel, she went straight to the council, and in a distraught voice, explained every event that had happened since she left them. They are in shock that she was alive, and hearing what she had done and gone through, they had decided that the emotional rollercoaster, and profound event she had experience had made her into the perfect candidate for the Spectres. After some time, she was officially made an Asari Spectre, she was forever changes, still skilled, and feared by many, but humbler, her hubris dying down more after what she had experienced. After receiving her official status, she was started on her first real missions, she was sent often to overview human ships, aiding in the study of their worthiness to the galaxy. She became fond of the race, and its culture. She can be found when off duty wearing human clothing, such as long-sleeved shirts, sweatshirts, and jeans, or yoga pants. She kept to herself among the other spectres, maintaining the thought of others that she is not to be messed with, she made a few acquaintances, but her connections from past missions allowed her to perform her assignments flawlessly, completing missions with little effort, becoming renowned in the program, continuing to make a great name for herself.

What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? : Reje was sent to the New Eden crew to aid in the completing of their objectives, as well as observe them due to the waves they have been making throughout the galaxy from their missions. the council has taken interest, and when deciding to send a spectre, they chose one whom they believed would be capable of handling the observatory portion, along with the skills necessary to stay safe on their missions.

I'd like this to be revised. There is no way in hell a Spectre would be allowed to go to New Eden when the council would have far more pressing matters for them. If in ME3 Ashley becomes a Spectre she's taken away from even Shepards crew to help with the Crucible.

Asari Commandos are used for military purposes (like any special forces units: N7, Black Watch, ect.). I think Justicars are the only Asari units that get tasked with hunting down Ardat Yakshi. Don't quote me on that bit though, as I'm not entirely certain on this. I read species lore as much as I possibly can, but there are some things that bioware had in the codex that just aren't explained to the extent that they could be; so who knows, really?

Logic outweighs the application. Wouldn't make any sense for a spectre to be on board.
