How long have you played on the server?: I joined yesterday, and Vicious Rabbit got me into it.

Characters name/nicknames: OP-1 'Collective'

Characters Race((Be aware Quarian, and Turian are application only, and must have a detailed backstory in order for the character to be accepted.)) : Geth platform.

Requested position aboard the ship((http://revivalservers.com/index.php?threads/available-positions-aboard-the-ship.2905/)) : Lab Team Member

Specific Gear, and/or abilities((Biotic abilities, Implants, and biotic abilities are application ONLY)) : Really, the sort that comes with a geth platform. Engineering capabilities, possibly more strength than the average human. Logically, if an escape computer was provided, the programs in the platform could be transferred once the platform is destroyed to preserve integrity. Would most likely have its own Geth style weaponry, such as its pulse gun, though its equally as possible that the company provided Collective its own weaponry.

Characters alignment, IE Paragon, Renegade, Neutral: Neutral.

Characters Backstory((The longer, and more detailed the backstory, the most likely you will be accepted.)) : (Note that I do not have information on what the geth's position in the server is like, so I am going off of the idea that the geth we fight are the religious ones from the games.)

In the year 2186, the galaxy was faced with multiple problems regarding to each different species. The Quarians had no home planet, lost many years ago in a controversial war with their own creations. The Krogans had a laughably low fertility rate, causing population to not only stagger, but slowly drop due to their violent tendencies. The introduction of the humans in the council brought up its own controversy, with many species feeling like they were brought in for almost 'special snowflake' like reasons. Many of these problems weren't forgotten, but one much larger problem took the attention of everything. Large, devastating machines arrived in the milky way from the dark depths of empty space, proceeding to start taking lives of all species alike, starting with the Batarians. The arrival of the reapers effected every species.. Including one group that many barely know anything about.

The Geth is a collection of simple AI programs that have decided to keep themselves isolated from the rest of the galaxy. Operating behind the Veil in their own ships and stations, they were rather content with being alone. This lifestyle has also left them somewhat out of the loop with the rest of the galaxy, only knowing the basics such as what species there are, or where they are. Normally, none of this would matter to them, though the arrival of the reapers brought a new variable for them to calculate. The reapers are a large and obvious threat, striking at species without concern of what they are. They had no pattern, only that they were going for any and all populated areas, starting with outer colonies. It was obvious that the reapers could consider them as prey, likewise with all the other species. A consensus had to be made amongst the entire population, over how to respond to such a threat. A small but reasonable portion of programs decided to ally with the Reapers, leaving the main population to fight for the new robotic force. The many decided to stay in the veil, rather than going out and risking being seen as a second hostile force. The consensus was to wait and watch.

Months passed as the rare scouting probe or telescopic satellite watched from the outskirts of the Veil, tracking the movement of the reapers and the various sentient species of the galaxy alike. It was decided that the reaper's forces were generally too strong, what with their slow but gradual push deeper into the galaxy's core planets. A new consensus had to be made on a new course of action. The population came up with various ideas on what to do, ranging from: Geth Preservation, allying with the Reapers, staying neutral, helping the primary species.. There was disagreements between every idea, besides Preservation. Geth assistance surely would assist with the survival of the Galaxy, but considering relationships with the Quarians, and the actions of the Heretics, interaction would be nearly impossible. Trust had to be gained by some means.. It would need to start locally. Information about the primary organic species would need to be obtained, and contact would need to start with a non-hostile group. A consensus is made. A partial agreement is achieved. A specialized platform will be sent out to obtain information and gain the trust of a small group of species, hopefully growing into trust with the entire populations as a whole.

It is the start of 2187, the reaper war now in full swing. The Geth have begun creation of a specialized platform, specifically made for the new mission. The platform itself only takes two weeks to redesign and create, specialized in interaction with organic species. A total of one thousand three hundred and fifty six programs are loaded into the platform, for optimal autonomous ability. The Platform and collection of programs is dubbed 'Observation Platform one', or OP-1 for short. Provided with all the knowledge the Geth had of the outside species, its primary objective was to gather knowledge and negotiate understanding with those beyond the veil. The agent was ready, and only needed to be deployed. The first location for the agent was to be a small private human colony farther from the core planets, known as Blue Horizon. OP-1 was loaded into a simple drop ship and sent out into the stars, to start an extremely important Mission.

Blue Horizon was owned by a relatively large mining and colonization corporation, with the earth like planet being somewhat abundant with natural resources, and especially with useful metals. With the front lines of the reaper war slowly creeping up, the Corporation was searching for any and all potential help in reinforcing the moderately valuable planet. The Geth saw this plea for help as ample opportunity for the mission. Not only would it provide a common ground in that the Geth are also helping against the reapers, but it would help gain the trust of at least the humans. OP-1's journey did not take very long, with the drop ship arriving in place in a short amount of time. The drop ship slowed down into an orbit with the planet, revealing its beauty. The planet was covered in green and mountainous land, with relatively smaller patches of ocean dotting the surface. It was quite a sight to behold to a Geth, considering the amount of time its been since one has ventured out from the Veil. With permission to land having been granted, the drop ship proceeded down carefully through the atmosphere, spiraling down towards the heart of the colony.

The colony itself was primarily made up into two districts: The Colony district, and the Excavation district. The colony district was placed on a large and green plains, with a tall dormant mountain positioned a few miles away. Its comprised of various farmlands and a spiraling town of white and square homes, enough to hold a good few hundred workers. Directly next to this was the Excavation district, which is just a short drive away for the workers within the colony. Its comprised of various dug out holes of various sizes, with towering metal machines designed for scooping up tons of land for processing. A road also branches off towards the mountain though, with a hole carved through to sift through the dirt for the riches of precious and useful metals. Over in the colony district, a large portion of space was left open for ships to land. The Geth Drop ship seeked it out, slowly landing down and allowing OP-1 to climb out of it. The agent met face to face with the Colony's security, a total of about ten armed guards standing there, weapons ready, but not trained. The drop ship behind the agent took off, leaving him by his lonesome in a human colony. The mission has begun.

OP-1's mission started with the platform being checked through security at the closest station. Its only weapon, being a simple Geth style pistol, was confiscated and kept in the station for safety. Next, the platform was taken towards the command building to receive briefing and its first orders. Taken into the large and protected building, OP-1 came face to face with the supervisor of the colony; An old Caucasian male in a black suit, with brown hair and green eyes. He explained to the platform what the colony was for, and what it was doing. He told the platform why he was hired, saying "The colony has a total of sixty eight security personnel, and at least four dozen cameras watching every corner of the colony. Despite all of this, its not enough to stop the mechanical monsters that terrorize the colonies. You- You are a machine that understands technology better than anyone else. You have knowledge, and you have technology better than what my colony has. I want you to take the shipments of turrets we've ordered, and make them with my engineering team. I want you to make it better, even. Don't make me regret considering this, Got it?" OP-1 listened closely, its optical camera dilating as the aperture opens and closed. Calmly, in a smoother yet still synthetic voice, it responded. "Understood. We will complete the task assigned." With the meeting over with, the Geth platform was escorted out and into a vehicle. OP-1 is taken to the perimeter of the colony, where multiple crates each lie around an established location. At the first point, the Geth platform and a small team of security is dropped off. There, the Platform meets up with multiple engineers, a small discussion forming over if everything is ready. There is mutual caution between both parties, though OP-1 remains hopeful and calm. It is a simple job, there is a low chance of failure. Without much hesitation, the group gets to work, unboxing all of the defense turret parts and starting to construct it. OP-1 works tirelessly and with effort, proving to be a useful assistant in the process. With the easy to follow blueprints provided, and a large array of tools and a few machinery, the first turret is erected in about seven hours. It stands tall and formidable, able to put a shell through a medium sized ship. The current team of engineers found themselves tired and dreary, but the Platform was not. It was still ready to continue, noting how the organics couldn't keep up with it. With the switch of teams, a new group of engineers were ready to go with the next point. Overall, by the end of the day, three turrets were constructed and ready to go, though only enough to protect a portion of the colony. The day was ending, and the teams were unable to continue on any further. OP-1 was instructed to report to an assigned quarters, to continue with the job the next day. Remaining obedient, it was driven back to the colony, and taken to a small one window home of its own. Stepping in, it first started by scanning and taking a look around the entire area.. Then proceeding to lie on what it identified was the bed, to shut down for the night. To OP-1, the first day appeared to be a success. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be.

In the middle of the night, OP-1 was rendered online with a message sent from the platforms in the Drop Ship, which is currently orbiting the planet. Reaper forces were reported moving for the planet at a rate much faster than originally calculated, requiring an immediate evacuation. Estimated time of arrival: Fifteen minutes. The drop ship was already piercing the atmosphere, meaning that OP-1 needed to leave now. The platform rose up from the bed, quickly scanning around the area for a means of exit. The door was electronically locked by the security stationed outside. A means of escape is required, to preserve integrity of the Platform. A consensus is reached. Approaching the window of the room, it lifted its elbow up, thrusting it as hard as it can into the glass, cracking it. It lifts its arm up again, proceeding to strike into another section of the window, breaking a portion out. It then proceeds to jump out, running for the ship landing area. It hears the audio produced by a man yelling. "Hold it right there! The Geth is escaping!" It continues to run, turning around a corner to help elude the security. No one would believe it if it said the Reapers were coming. It was a real threat, but to them, it was a potential threat as well. The colony is not salvageable, the forces incoming are reportedly too intense. Approaching the field, a flash of light is seen in the sky. The drop ship is slowly but surely making its way down. Contrasting the light, a large black figure starts to fall down from the sky, almost hidden by the lack of light. Gunshots ring out as bullets whizz by the platform, causing it to start a more evasive maneuver, running in zig zags and keeping low, heading deeper into the open fields. Two things proceed to land down at the same time; Ahead of the Geth is the Drop ship, preparing to take it in. Off to the side, opposite to the mountain, is a reaper. It appears to be half the size of a normal one, yet it obviously appears to be faster than most. A loud, almost angry bellow is let out by it, shaking the ground as it prepares its weapons, alarms sounding out from the now panicing colony. The turrets OP-1 helped erect turn to face it, starting to fire out large, human sized shells. They're melted in mere seconds, a huge red beam slicing through them, completely rendering them useless. OP-1 arrives at the drop ship finally, hastily climbing in. Without hesitation, the drop ship takes off, flying forwards first, before heading up into the air, leaving the colony to be devastated by the first reaper to arrive. The drop ship makes no attempt to linger, flying around to evade the sight of following reapers, before taking off from orbit and out into space, back for the Veil. The mission was an unavoidable failure, with no Geth causalities.

The platform is returned to the Veil, the Drop ship docking on one of the various Geth stations. OP-1 is taken in to review the information retrieved, though its all deemed to be insufficient. A consensus is quickly made, after considering the circumstances. Another mission is capable of being carried through. It must be one that's capable of surviving, one that can be more efficient in what the geth hope to achieve. A month of watching communications and observing movement, a new possibility is found. A private company known as New Eden. Known for hiring many capable people of extremely varied background. Known for its huge variety of species. It is perfect. Contact is made, and a deal is struck. OP-1 is boarded on a Drop ship and sent out for its newest assignment: To discuss with employers about a new job. A new mission.

(Please, let me know if there's any lore based errors, or if I need to flesh something out. I'm more than willing to fix anything!)

What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? : Collective's goal on the ship is the gather information on the various species serving on it, and to serve through the terms of its employment. Being a capable Geth platform, more intelligent than the average one, the opportunity would allow better insight when fighting hostile geth, and would perhaps be a capable employee all together.
