Yea I have that same issue with Halo RP I think it might have something to do with the Graphic Card Driver?

I'm not actually sure about that one, I'd probably do some digging on the web and see if there are any suggestions that you could try out.

Maybe try this? I'm not entirely sure to be honest.

My GMod will slowly eat up all my RAM the more I play it so I'm not sure, but that might be because I have a memory leak.

Here is also some stuff that might help, add the following to your \steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\cfg\autoexec.cfg file

Code:
gmod_mcore_test 1
mat_queue_mode -1
cl_threaded_bone_setup 1
cl_cmdrate 0

This should help a lot with FPS, it might also not help at all or make things worse, if it does, remove these lines again.
The first 3 lines will make the multi-core support work, the tick-box in game does nothing.
The last line may or may not help with ping, if it makes things worse remove it.

@IceBadger Gonna try this and see if it helps with the FPS. Will report back. I had a creeping suspicion the tickbox did nothing.

Adding this changed nothing. No better, no worse. There's also the server FPS to consider. Arma suffers from this issue a lot, where no matter your own PC's capabilities, the server itself will bottleneck client performance.

I was referring to IceBadger's suggestion about adding those lines of code to the autoexec file
