First off, the corpsmen. I noticed on the server we have Corpsmen that are called Marines and go by the Marine ranking system... that's just not right. Corpsmen are Naval personnel and while they're dressed and work with Marines (depending on their specialty) they are still Navy and would follow their own rating system, which is different than the one on the server but it's fine if you don't want to add another rating (rating when talking about navy means the enlisted) chart just for Corpsmen and just make them stick to the one already up, though I would encourage adding the new ranks as they're not very different to the ones already up, just different letters and names. I encourage this for immersion and lore friendliness. The fix is rather simple to me... just have them change their names from "UNSCMC {Whatever goes here} (MARINE rank) [Name]" to "UNSCN {Whatever goes here} (NAVAL rank) [Name]".
Next, I want to talk about customs and courtesies when it comes to (Warrant) officers.
First, proper regulations say that you don't salute at all when indoors to an officer... unless you're formally reporting to them like you got in trouble or they requested to see you. Yet doing so in the server won't work seeing as we'll never use the salute bind, instead I recommend instead of every time we see the (warrant) officer, we just salute the first time we see them if situation permits it. Also when an (warrant) officer enters a room, you don't scramble to one wall and wait in a line and salute... that's just silly. Instead you'd call the room (or area if you're outside and the situation permits) to attention. Said (warrant) officer would tell you to "carry on" or "at ease" and whoever called the room/area to attention will echo the order then you relax and continue as you were.
Finally, I know this has been a long post to read, I would recommend fixing the job names to be more inclined to what they are. I don't know the size of the units in lore at the base, so I won't say anything much about it, but I do know I saw the job rank, "General of the Army" with a Colonel holding that spot, the explanation given to me was the base wasn't secured enough to warrant a general to be there except for visits, which is perfectly fine and understandable, but if the general isn't played a lot then change the job name to what would be befitting of that rank, a Brigade or Regiment. Or if you want to make it really simple, just say UNSC Officer.
Anyways, thank you for coming to my TED talk, I know this is probably one of the more useless suggestions there are considering it's a bunch of small things... but trust me, it'll help with immersion and lore accuracy for those who actually RP on the RP server.
