Alright so for Christmas i was able to get a new PC! [Yes I know it's not Christmas yet but there was early sales at bestbuy.] I want to know peoples opinions on it and potential changes / graphics card changes etc because this is highly modifiable.
Mind you I cant open it till Christmas sadly :(.

Here is a link to the store page on it for those interested.

°HP - OMEN by HP Obelisk Desktop
°Intel Core i7 [8th gen]
°16GB Memory NVIDIA geforce GTX 1060
[The graphics card is a 3GB NVIDIA]
°1TB Hard Drive + 256GB SSD
°Shadow Black finish.

This is the picture of the display I took in store.

What do you all think I could add or upgrade?
I have a friend who volunteered to help me build it a bit but I need to figure out what to add and buy.

I'm so excited for when I can open this! For those who know me you all are aware I run on a potato 8 year old Asus laptop. I havnt had a desktop since I was around 6 or 7.

You might be thinking "Hey Luna then what about a monitor?"

This is what I got for that. I dont know much about them.

Was this worth it or ya think I got the big scam?

[Around Christmas I'll make another post when I can set it up]

You’ve seen to have done fine for yourself there.

Yeah they require cleaning to keep squeaky clean and fast. If you've got liquid cooling you'll need to do more than just dust the pc, however if it's liquid cooled theres many guides on cleaning and replacing fluids on that too.

And to respond to the original thread I think the 60 series aren't the best for gaming (especially with 3GB of ram which the 60 series only have). I recommend 70's at a minimum e.g. GTX 1070 6GB. But everything else looks great to have really great. I mean even the 1060 could handle quite a few games on impressive graphics settings.

Nice find

Would that be simple enough to change out or be able to be changed? We both know I'm computer dumb for the most part with building. If I manage to buy a higher tier card.

It should be as easy as unscrewing a few screws, pulling the card out, slotting the new one in and re-screw the screws.
I'll need to know your motherboard before you buy the 1070 to see if it will actually fit though - if you find out the motherboard name let me know so I can let you know if its safe or not to order one.

Alrighty. I'll find out more closer to Christmas when I can open it and check it out more. Thankyou for the advice with the card and vents! ^-^ I really appreciate it.
