Senian 'Willhar' vas Univoyt is a Quarian from a class five outdated ship amongst the fleet that is widely known for its sustained population rather than how most ships are overcrowded. But it does not mean it is met with the same luxuries higher class ships are privileged as it is known to have bleak power outages, known malfunctioning operations on doors and consoles, even lack-luster cleaning stations for personal showers. Senian's mother passed away when he was still in his bubble due to a rupture in her suit she sustained while operating in the bowls of the ship, giving her an infection that ultimately claimed her life. His father, Kyin'Willhar was a maintainer for the limited weapons the ship was equipped and was the one who mostly raised Senian through his youth until his early twenties. Senian went through as an engineer specialist for the main engine exhausts where his mother once worked when he was old enough, but with the memories still paining him due to many of his mothers friends still residing the same job and talking to him about her practically every day, it drew Senian to view other options. Noting the view of Alliance soldiers on the colony world of Noveria during his pilgrimage in his earlier years, he realized that a path in the military was a way to evolve his maturity with him only at the age of 23. Against his fathers wishes, he enlisted in the Migrant Fleet Marines, a small but dedicated branch in the Quarian military specialized in recon, engineering, and navigation. Dubbed 'Space Rats', it is not as a derogatory but because of their training that puts their ways to engage not in direct combat, however stationary defense that requires them to burrow in the surrounding lands they use whatever it maybe including the vacuum of space.
After six to eight months in training, Senian finally received his first deployment setting near the veil, known as 'Yipar', a desert like planet made up entirely of sand. The outpost was set at one of the very few water reservoir spots occupied and it was being done as research in an attempt to research other habitable zones for it to be known officially as a candidate for the selection of a new home world. However the Marines, including Senian, saw this as highly unlikely because of the constant Geth attacks that happened at least once a week ranging from small arms engagements to heavy bombardments from plasma launchers. Senian sustained much combat experience from this rugged terrain, and was awarded medals such as 'The Covenant Star', 'Gallantry Star', and 'Combat Engagement Star' which he states are his only medals he takes the time to remember, seeing the others as too simple to be acquired. The 9 month deployment only lasted 4 months when Migrant General. Venyal'Nuz vas Rayya seen the deaths and constant engagements as a travesty and having more harm than good to the ultimate goal, ordering an immediate pull back from the outposts.
Senian was given a heroes welcome along with the remaining friends whom survived the ordeal and was granted an honorable relief of duty from his service where he returned to the Univoyt, his homeship. At first he re-designated himself back in the bowls of the ship to take back the spot where his mother worked, only to realize it had already been replaced by another individual and he was instead tasked to work as a hull space walker, exhuming the main outer hull of the ship and repair any scrapes or damages that might have been caused. This did not please Senian, however, and it was around this time he realized he was coming down with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from the prior ordeals as a Migrant Fleet Marine. He disputed of the conditions he was forced to work with on his job that included near death incidents daily, broken cables that kept them attached to the still large moving ship, and exposed high-voltage grid panels that have killed Quarians from before. Senian despised this, especially the heavy shock waves the grids gave out since they had the same sound as an explosion on the ground, causing Senian to react violently to these incidents. He opted out of continuing the job any further and started searching for other options.
With Senian knowing ship life was nothing to him, he instead started looking for other ships that were tasking and hiring others to join in on expeditions. Senian filled out his Exfill on Request which granted him access to leave the Univoyt and to pursue whatever he desired that did not require him to remain on his homeship or the fleet anymore. With this Exfill on request, he was granted five hundred credits, the known Omni-Pass Chip to gain him through any ship harbor, and most importantly his service pistol, a Carnifex Handgun. Even though his father disprove, he continued on with his original plan and made it to his first assigned ship as an engine specialist for a Class 2 cargo vessel known as The Yuvilda. He worked there for a little over a year after finally departing and exhuming for other options that were available, that was when he started to look for ships that included certain missions in dangerous terrain or coexisting with other races. As the years went on on each of these assignments, he learned a little more than just hull reinforcing and maintenance on the exhaust pipes, he got to work with new technology some of the ships were responsible for having and even given more training on how some of these systems operated thanks to the free time given by some of the other engineers.
Senian's knowledge on ship design and engineering soon gave him a more in depth will on controlls and even made him more confident with the new assignments he was given that placed him in such a responsible role. With the enlistment of four ship trips on his record, he finally looked into a vessel known as The New Eden. Living on ships was practically his life as it gave him a steady job and a place to reside for during the duration as he builds up credits hoping to eventually settle down, at this time he is twenty-nine years old.
What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? : Senian looks at New Eden as a way to not only meet new races and as always an opportunity to travel, but it is also for him to raise credits for his own hopeful retirement and even a way in an attempt to keep him pre-occupied in confliction with his PTSD which is a way to counter any reactions it may give him. Despite his military background, he is merely attempting to be known as an honest Quarian and not the generic painted thief most see Quarians as.
