so what are freelancers and do they have ranks

In a simple nutshell, the Freelancer's are a group based on Project Freelancer from Red vs Blue (One of the most famous machinima of all time [Which is made using footage from the Halo games & CGI]). Currently, the only way to join is to buy Tier 2 in the Store (I'm not sure if they do tryouts, but who knows?).

As for the question of ranks, I can confirm that they have ranks.
