Terminator RP?

Hello guys many of you know me if you don’t I’m the forum manager. So during the upper management meeting today we were coming up with ideas for a new server. The main idea was Terminator RP! So this post is here to get feedback from the community before we decide to work on it and spend the hard time and effort working on it. So here I’m going to lay out the basics of the server.

The server would be set in a time after the nuclear holocaust was triggered by a self aware AI called Skynet. The time would be very modern. The server would be based around a human resistance cell in New York City. There would be plenty of jobs ranging from being a researcher, medic, doctor, special forces, heavy gunner, helicopter pilot, and many more jobs that I can continue to name. The resistance would be fighting against terminators. Not T1000’s but T-800’s and just grunts Of Skynet. The resistance would have weapons of the modern US military and civilians. Ranging anywhere from AK47’s to M4’s M16’s even as big as a M82 .50 Cal sniper. The resistance would also have to protect and save civilians and fight off bandits as well as the terminators!

I feel as if it should become either 1942RP because the player base is high. Also, if not that, Clone wars/Star Wars RP because the community/Player Base is high and it wouldn't be a big change because they're both futuristic….

There are many reasons to not make another Halo server. First reason it will probably split the current Halo servers playerbase. Second reason is making a slightly different version of a server we already have doesn’t really benefit us donation wise. Third if we have two different Halo Servers eventually one of them will kill off the other. It’s simple logic... two of the exact same things if except for one small difference in this case it being pvp can not Co Exist for more than a month.

Again TFG did it and they grew substantially, also donation wise have you seen how much more donation options there are for nam v halo, Halo you can’t really do much, in PvP anyone will pay money to tip the tides of the battle and that exactly what most of them do, examples are the grenadier class on nam, as for the player base PvP will bring in a lot of new players, as well the player base wouldn’t really be split it would share the same player base a lot of the players in PvP would also regularly pay on the PvE server, they wouldn’t really pick sides, I could see your point though pulling a 50 player base to two different servers however if the PvP server brings in new players like it should the PvE server would get bigger from the resulting new players plus we could even link the lore between the two servers like this server is a simulation similar to the infinity’s S Deck, or what we could do is make the two servers separate factions like one is Covenant and then the main is UNSC and we could do missions to the other server via server hopper (a entity that is easier way to switch servers). In all Terminator RP I don’t think has the player base, Halos our most donated for and most active player base server, so I think investing a little more in the game mode wouldn’t be a bad idea, plus we can just reuse assets and development from Halo and save a lot of time and even money (via custom scripts) on building a server hell there’s even a map made by the guys who made our main map that is made for PvP

Some type of dark RP Nutscript don’t work in this time of gmod. This is coming from someone who has only played Nutscript consistently.

Nutscript is no where near superior... it’s harder to implement updates on. It clashes with content. I can list many more things. Only thing it’s more superior on is Serious RP

nope we’re still developing it. Starting today as a matter of fact at least lore wise.
