Characters Backstory((The longer, and more detailed the backstory, the most likely you will be accepted.)):
He was born on earth in the year of 2156, his father being a soldier, and his mother was a nurse for a hospital in the Arizona region of The United North American States. When his father came home for leave, he would take Alexander out shooting, hoping he would enlist into the military. In 2172, Alexander enlisted into the Alliance Marine Corps at the age of 16 to protect those he cared about. He was assigned to an Infiltration team as a sniper since he scored at the top of his class for marksmanship.
When he was eighteen, he went on leave for about a week, and he met a woman that was twenty, whose name was Cassandra, while he was out for a run. The two talked for a while, they talked about things like what they were doing, what they like to do in their spare time, and such. After they were done talking, he continued his run until he got back to his parent's house, which he was staying with for the week. He told his parents about the woman, telling them that he thinks that she is "the one" for him. The next morning while he was on his run, he saw her again, he decided to stop his run to ask of she would like to go on a date with him later that night, which in turn she said yes. They made plans for their date to be at his parent's home, he cooked on of the few things he knew how to cook, steaks, which she said she liked. While they ate, they talked more about each other, asked about their hobbies, favorite movies, and the such. After they were done eating, they talked for an hour longer before he took her home. Once they got to her home, she told him that she had a good time, he told her that he did as well, they exchanged a long hug, followed by a kiss. As soon as she went inside, he went home. For the rest of the week, the two got to know each other more and more, until he had to go off of leave. When he got back to the ship he made sure to send a message to her, letting her know that he will stay in contact until he can go on leave again to see her, which he has done, whenever he could, for the next five years, which would make their relationship stronger with each visit.
When he reached the rank of 2nd Lieutenant at the age of 23, he was recruited for the Interplanetary Combatives Academy. He sent a video message to Cassandra, that he won't be able to see her for a while because he was starting training to become a better soldier, which she understood. When he finished the Academy, he was assigned the designation of N1, and was re-invited to the Academy, he continued to go back to the Academy until he achieved the designation of N6. Through all of the tough training that he had to endure, his favorite part was the zero-G combat training. After he achieved the N6 designation at the age of 27, he was assigned to the Alliance Spec Ops Team Delta as a sniper. He went on many missions, and several solo missions, being in and out before anyone knew. He was dubbed by his team as "The Ghost", because he was able to go in, take out his target(s) and get out silently.
One of the missions he went on, was a mission to retrieve intel on a high-value target that the Alliance has been after for a while. From the briefing, it was supposed to be an in-and-out mission, but there were complications. The team was getting set up in an abandoned building near their target. They left the building at night to approach the target building until suddenly they were being ambushed by mercenaries that were hired to protect their target. Two of his squad mates were immediately killed by the ambush leaving eleven left scrambling for cover. As Alexander switched to his pistol, he would lean over his cover to count how many hostiles there were, which he counted about ten. He went back into cover just as they started firing again, when he heard them stop, he started blind firing towards them to try to cover his team as they got to better vantage points, and luckily hits one a few times in the chest, leaving nine remaining. He went back into cover to reload as his squad mates started to return fire, killing three more mercenaries, but losing two more of his squad mates. With six mercenaries remaining, he peeked out of cover to shoot at one that was pretty much out in the open, hitting him in the chest and head. Signalling his squad to move into the building, he would give them cover fire as they went from cover to cover until they got to the door of the building. He would take out two more mercenaries before getting shot in the shoulder, which made him quickly get back into cover. He would place his hand on his shoulder, pistol still in hand, and whispers to himself angrily, "Fuckin' mercs!" He would work through the pain, peeking out of cover for a moment to see where the last three mercenaries were, then quickly going back into cover as they started firing at him. He would wait for them to stop firing at him to start firing back, hitting two more, but only killing one. He would yell out in frustration as he would reload and jump over the cover to take out the last two mercenaries and rejoining his squad. He would walk in to see them holding down a man, whom he assumed they were there for, as the lieutenant told him that evac was on the way. The evac shuttle arrived about 15-20 minutes after he got into the building, which would take them back to the ship to get the prisoner interrogated. For his courage during this mission, he was awarded the Palladium Star award.
He went on many different missions for the next two years, until he heard about the attack on Earth by the Reapers, he looked at the casualty list to find his parents and wife on the KIA list. A New Eden recruiter found him and asked him to work for them, telling him that they could use his experience and skill to take down the Reapers. He asks them to give him time to think about it, and to ask his superiors if he could. Later that week he reached out to the New Eden recruiter, and told him that he wanted in, which brings him to join the crew.
What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden?:
Alexander's goals aboard the ship is to keep the peace among the crew. He was hired by New Eden because they think he would make a valuable member to the team with his excellent marksmanship. and for his hate of the reapers.
