Characters Backstory((The longer, and more detailed the backstory, the most likely you will be accepted.)) : Born on Palaven to somewhat apathetic parents Arius grew up not ever really knowing his parents, his father being a small time politician and his mother serving with the Turian Navy. Arius had to take care of himself and his baby sister Veraviva. As he grew, he attended the Youth's Academy, then Secondary Academy and finally the Turian Military Academy, while in the Academy he grew fondness over a young Turian named Marina Venerius, working with her and helping her finish her advanced tactics course, Arius and Marina graduated with certifications in advanced tactics, demolitions, munitions and logistics. Arius, assigned to the Palaven Defense Fleet was tasked to keep the fleet's armaments in check and run war games with the other fleets, It's at this point he adopted a red face marking, similar to that of Marina. She'd visit him often and they'd usually hang around in the munition centers, tinkering with grenades and other explosives. During combat runs Marina always noticed the lack of emotions Arius would have, he lacked empathy, over time she dubbed him 'The Ghost' due to his apathetic nature on handling situations, logically and sticking to facts. But one day on a routine pirate raid things went horribly wrong, the pirates were being outfitted by a Turian defector, they had top of the line ships, weapons and personnel, the battle caused heavy casualties on both sides, Arius's ship went down and crashed on a barren world, his platoon was tasked to hold their position and wait for evac, but it never came, one by one the soldiers died, until there were two, Arius and Marina, holding off against the pirate forces. Arius fought as much as he could, to save her, to save Marina but, his efforts were in vain, Marina was struck in the chest by a Heavy Machine Gun, almost instantly killing her. Arius, in a fit of rage, charges the pirates, killing as many as he can before being incapacitated. He awoke an hour later, to the smell of rotting corpses, he looked around, and found her, he crawled towards her, Marina, his childhood friend, his comrade, his only love, she laid there, shallowly breathing, he held her in his arms griping in pain as he tried to get the words out, "Marina, stay with me, you're gonna make it." She looked at him, her eyes getting more hazy, "A-Arius, feelings pass right through you don't they? Ugh....So cold and unforgiving in every way.....you're a soldier, That's why we trusted you." He looked at her, "Don't talk, save your strength." She smiled, "I don't need it, I need you to be strong, stro-ng enough to do something you've never done....can...can you....not be a ghost anymore?" she fell limp in his arms, letting out one last sigh before fading away completly. He stared at her corpse setting it down gently before taking her identification tags, using the ash and char to paint his face, a new painting, that of a ghost. He stood limping away, leaving his old life behind. That was the day he defected from the Turian Navy, he was never kicked out. He wandered the galaxy for a few years, taking odd jobs and doing some bounty hunting here and there, most of the money going to his sister's academy payments, then he took a job from C-Sec, working undercover to stop a revolt against the Council, following that event, Arius worked undercover as a Drug Dealer, trying to bust a huge network within the Citadel, there he busted the deal but was arrested by C-SEC. He served four years in the detention center, only to be released and relieved of duty, from there he wandered the Milky Way, doing odd jobs again, one day he docked with the Pirate Station to turn in a bounty for a rouge scientist, only to meet the Captain, from there, his life got a whole lot better...
What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? : To have a new life, to run away from his past, and to avenge Marina against the pirate scum, He joined because he was a lost soul looking for a cause to serve, a purpose and now he found one.
