The Crew of INV Centurion Training Guide

Basic Lore:
Crewmen are expected to give recruits the basic run down of the lore if you don't know it. Read up. Here is how Captain Veltius describes it "We are a peacekeeping task force, that restores order and allows all access to trade, peace, and general consensus by saving colonies, planets, and fleets from on-going attacks, smuggling or riots."

Basic Drill Movements: There are three basic drill movements, Left, Right, Front, and About Face.

How To Say Commands: All Drill commands are made up of two parts, a "Preparatory Command" and a "Command of Execution". The way you say commands matters a lot because if you say them wrong, you sound like a fucking idiot. If you say them correctly then it gives you credibility as an instructor to our new 'cruit, and it leaves a good impression on us. Now if I were to give someone the command "Left, Face" I would break it up into two parts "Left...Face". This leads to the final step of "How To Say Commands", your command voice will be everything, it needs to be authoritative, but not idiotic. It must come from your diaphragm, not your throat. It may take awhile, but eventually, everyone finds their command voice.

Left-Face: This is known as a "Stationary Movement". When the "Preparatory Command", "Left" is called this signifies what direction you are to move, but you do not move until the "Command of Execution", "Face" is called. The "Left-Face" can easily be defined as, "A 90-degree turn to the left"

Right-Face: This is known as a "Stationary Movement". When the "Preparatory Command", "Right" is called this signifies what direction you are to move, but you do not move until the "Command of Execution", "Face" is called. The "Right-Face" can easily be defined as, "A 90-degree turn to the Right"

About-Face and Front-Face: This is known as a "Stationary Movement". When the "Preparatory Command", "About" is called this signifies what direction you are to move, but you do not move until the "Command of Execution", "Face" is called. The "About-Face" can easily be defined as, "A 180-degree turn to the over your right shoulder", the "Front-Face" is to look back at the speaker.

Tour of the ship (If on the ship): Show them around the ship and describe everything, it's not that hard.

Requisition Gear (If on the ship): Bring the 'cruit to the quartermaster's office and have them get their gear requisitioned.

Final Notes

Be a friend to the 'cruit, not a dick. Be patient with them and let them move at their own pace. Make the server fun for them, their first impression means everything! Godspeed my friends and go train some fucking recruits.
