Tell us about yourself: I began coding around two years ago in response to obtaining manager of a darkrp server. I began editing scripts and addons as well as practicing the art of self-teaching regarding various things. To keep it short and sweet, I learned how to do a lot of the things you can do within the confines of the GLua API and have utilized this knowledge by making addons for job requests, friends, and a community back when I was apart of one.
What role are you taking? (Programmer, Server Configurator, Mapper etc.): Programmer
Please describe your experience in the field relevant to the role you're applying for: I have a personal preference for making UIs and is what the majority of my time has been put into, however, I am also capable of backend addons/scripts. Naturally, I am pretty well versed in the concept of making both darkrp-related and standalone addons. (Note that this does not extend to making detailed graphics or source models). Regarding some of the 'extra qualifications', I do also have experience working with both MySQL and SQLite (and making addons capable of switching between the two). Recently I have also been having some fun with Node.JS (javascript), HTML, and CSS if that means anything here.I believe some examples of what I can do is most appropriate for something like this, so here is a quick little portfolio I like to use when taking on the occasional job request to serve as some examples/proof as well (also links to my GitHub). The top examples are the most recent and best represent some of my current skills. Why do you want to become a developer for Revival? (One Paragraph Min.): I started playing the SCP server after having it recommended to me by my brother. Unfortunately, I more or less lost interest after playing for a while and went off to do other things. Since then I heard that developers were needed. Since programming is what I have a passion for, I figured I'd see what I could do here. It's also been a while since I was more or less embedded within a community. I think it'd be interesting to see where this road will lead to.
What can you bring to the development team?: As I explained previously, I have quite a bit of experience with GLua and various other languages. Though I'm probably not as good as others, I can also teach/'mentor' people that are newer to programming/GLua, or at the very least answer various questions. I am also coming here with a close friend of mine, Steve The Friendly Hobo. We have been doing things here and there for quite a while now. I believe we could make a significant improvement to the developer team.
