Experience with staffing (ULX, other servers, etc.): In the past, I've staffed multiple Military and Police RP Servers, leaving them after they've died.
How active will you be on the server? Whenever I get the chance, I'm on.
Days, Hours Of Availability: During Summer break currently, nearly every day except for special occasions, for about 10 hours a day. During the school year, I'll most likely be getting on after I get home until dusk, so about 5-6 hours.
Explain why you're a better candidate than other candidates (75+ words): I have whatever the opposite of a short temper is. I can see situations without sides, and understand the different views that opposing sides may have on a problem. I can handle my time well, and enjoy making the server a happier place, and always like to make sure that both sides can always continue to enjoy their time on the server. The more situations can be dealt with discussions instead of arguments, the better. (Unless one side happens to be a PVT mass rdming. Fuck him.)
How do you plan to benefit the server? (50+ words): I'm fresh to this server. Been here for a week. While this may seem like a downside, it's allowed me to not be damaged by any hatred or lies I've been told by someone else. If I had been here for months being told that some guy his horrible, even if their lies, I may be inclined to side with the other person. Being fresh allows me to do what I stated previously, and have a clear view of situations that arise.
List (10) Ulx Commands and what they do(List something other than cloak, ban, Kick, Warn, TP, Maul, Slay, Gag,):
noclip - Allows me to fly around the map while nocollided.
strip - Useful for pesky little mass rdm'ers
god - Useful for not getting killed by pesky little mass rdm'ers
mute - Useful for people spamming chat or saying things they shouldn't be saying
teleport - Useful for finding people or going to people
bring - Useful for getting those pesky little mass rdm'ers away from everyone else
vote - Starts a vote for the server. May not be used to much, but it's still good to see a server's opinion.
hp - Set's hp for user.
armor - Set's armor for user.
jail - Put's those pesky little mass rdm' ers in an inescapable cage.
(As you can see, I hate pesky little mass rdm' ers)
What is In character and what is Out of character?
IC (In Character) Means any actions or words that are being said by your character RP Wise. Anything you do IC can be dealt with IC. If you see something you really shouldn't have IC, your character may be killed.
OOC (Out of character) is the opposite of IC. These are any actions or words that you are saying that your character wouldn't know, or wouldn't exist RP wise. That's like telling someone in game the IP address for the TeamSpeak (Which everyone should totally join). Because "TeamSpeak" Doesn't exist in the Halo universe, that's considered OOC.
Are you willing to work with a Game Maker Team? Yes.
What is the purpose of a Game Maker? They create events for the server to play and enjoy.
Give us a full event idea you have. ( 3 Paragraphs ) Well, I had an idea for an Alamo type situation. The Briefing would be as follows. Any (***) will just be there in case that has to be changed in the future.
"On (Insert Date Here), Two weeks ago, URF Forces captured a USMC FOB (Forward Operating Base.)
on the planet of Paris IV. The planet has lately been pummeled and attacked by URF Forces. We received reports of the attack, but it was evident that the attack would be repelled. Though somehow, we lost contact with the entire FOB days later. A scouting party was recently sent out but didn't return. The scouting party relayed back information before it went silent. Suffice to say, we can expect the URF to have heavy military assets including artillery and air support, as well as contact with URF Special Forces. That's the only intel we have, so prepare to bunk down and stay down. Once you all move in, you're gonna take up defensive positions around the fort. You're going to be holding the fort until reinforcements arrive to retake the fort and retrieve any stolen ordnance. This should be a quick and simple mission...hopefully."
Now, like the briefing states, troops will move in and take over the FOB. This will be quite simple, and troops will take up positions around the fort. That's when they're hit with a bombshell of information, finding out that they're currently surrounded by URF Forces on all sides, and the URF surrounding them have all the stolen ordnance. Now, locked down by enemy artillery, enemy air support, and an extremely large amount of URF Forces, they're faced with a choice. This choice can either be made by us, or we can let the troops vote on it, giving them a sense of choice and responsibility to the situation. They can either try and negotiate with URF forces, though Negotiations will most likely be heavily in the URF's favor, or they can decided to try and hold of Waves of URF while waiting for escape from friendly air support. (That may or may not arrive.)
hese two choices can present some amazing opportunities for game makers. Negotiating could result in giving hostages away, which could result in a follow up event that takes ODST and special Operators and sends them on a special mission to retrieve the hostages and bring them home safely. It could also make for some fun experiences if people decided to volunteer as hostages, maybe even being tortured for information by the enemy... On the other hand, if they decide to hold it off, it could present some interesting opportunities as well. While we can have an adrenaline filled rush as wave after wave assault the fort from all sides, with small break periods in between to recuperate and take up their positions once again, waiting for their escape to arrive. On the other hand, we can also have a mission based on previous events, and have it end like the actual Alamo, where endless waves come, and there's no way out in sight. Then we have a mission where the troops fight to the last man until all are finally wiped out. In the end, this mission can introduce a bunch of new ideas, and it would be a great addition.
