What's your name in game? How long do you have in game?: I have two characters; Novice Researcher Luxund, and E361 AI Cygnus. I currently have 3 Days in Game.

How active will you be on the server?: I am on everyday, usually on from mid-day till late into the night


Explain why you’re a better candidate than other candidates(75+ words): Due to my long hours of playing I can help with events/provide events late into the night from the middle of the day. I am enthusiastic and motivated to consistently help in the creation and design of any event possible. Every detail is important to me, especially lore, which I am very familiar with. I would like to provide different routes in which events could go, making the outcome depend on how the Players interact with the characters of the event. Such as a important person dying or finding possible bluffs in a character’s words. I have debate experience, which makes it easier for myself to follow a strict guideline and enforce it with logic and a thought of what's happening on the other side of the screen along with the ability to improvise if the need rises. Input from the players is also very important to me, they are the one’s we are servicing with these events, so giving them what they want, without compromising the plot of the event or the event itself is essential.


How do you plan to benefit the server?: As I said, Due to my long hours I can keep players entertained when there is both High(by working with other Gm’s to create big events) or low (creating small events by myself) populations. The entertainment of the player is needed to keep a great community. Good events are what attract the great community that is already established, so I will help by extending that time and hopefully attracting more players at night even, when there is generally down time.


List (10) ULX Commands and what they do:

!No Clip - allowes the player given it to fly around as well as transverse through objects.

!Spectate - Allows the admin to spectate a certain player generally to ensure they aren’t doing anything against the rules.

!optimize - A tool useful to all players as it helps resolve many Fps issues, usually giving players a small frame boost. The boost is different for everyone, so it doesn’t guarantee a boost of more than a couple of frames.

!ragdoll/unragdoll - Ragdolls the specified user. Can be used for purposes like stopping a unruly player from continuing to roleplay purposes

!armor - when used with either a ^ to affect yourself or a player's name along with a integer it gives the player(or you) a set amount of armor that will absorb damage instead of applying it to the player's health.

!health - When use with a ^ to affect yourself or a player’s name along with a integer it gives the player(or you) a set amount of health.

/pm - always followed by another player's name. It sends a message that only the other user input can read.

!map <map> - changes the map and a gamemode change along with it (though that is generally useless to us)

!vote - when followed by these in order <title> <option 1> <option 2> and so on, it creates a vote for all players on the server. This helps with input from the users.

!strip - when followed by any player's name it strips them of their weapons.


What is In character and Out of character?: In character is when any given player uses their character they have created to add to the roleplay. Meta knowledge is ignored (Out of character chat, using the internet, etc.). Out of character is when the player acts as themselves, not as their character. What happens out of character, stays in out of character.


Are you willing to work with a Game Maker team?: Absolutely, I love working with others.


What is the purpose of a Game maker?: A game maker's purpose is to provide the players on the server with entertainment through events that they create, generally through a whole team of them.


Give us a full event idea you have. (3 Paragraphs):


A high ranking officer: “All personnel report to SSR, we need to have a talk.” *Wait for all Marines to fill into the Standard sim room, meanwhile, an Insurgent is infiltrating into the Oni base* The officer: “I cannot believe the kind of banter that is going through the comms! We are going to stay here till someone confesses to the bigoted and dreadful things that were said! We do not tolerate any forms of racism in this corps, we are brothers! Now fess up all of you, come up here all those involved!.” *Wait for around 30 seconds for people to move if any, none should be* Officer in the event of no one moving: “Oh I see, so no one is fess up!” *If an AI is online they will notice active Insurgent Radio signals slightly before and hear* Insurgent Hacker: “They took the bait, actually believed it was their own! Entering ONI now”. *At this point the AI should alarm the officer of the diversion and sound the alarm.* In the event of people moving, the officer states: “I heard more chatter than (Insert amount of people) of you! Fess up all of you, or consequences will come!” *The event will then play out as stated above. Authorized Marines will be sent to ONI and meet many troops along with a two Pilots flying a Black Pelican and A Black Hornet. They will engage while the AI’s pick up more chatter* Insurgent Hacker: “Spartan program files obtained, Evacuating now” *The Insurgent Hacker will be brought out with a pelican* Officer: “We have to make sure they don’t get that Intel! Eliminate the enemies and prepare ships, We detected their Mothership just out of scanner reach and we will be pursuing! That Intel cannot get out of our hands!” *All personnel will be loaded onto pelicans and sent to the Texas, switch to the Event server after this part.*


*The UNSC, HOJ, and SoS chase them to a nearby solar system and land on a planet where the other ship has also landed. Nco+ of the teams gather up for briefing* Officer: “We have tracked the Insurgents to this planet, which is bad news. This is a old colonial planet, the colony lost contact years ago and teams sent here have been MIA for nearly as long. This planet must be their base of operations so expect heavy Insurgent resistance. Recon, we need you to find their main base, and mothership. All Marines will be waiting for recon to report in and will move in after we clear them to towards the main base location. ONI, you will be heading to the Mothership to find out how the hell they got close enough to the planet that Pelicans can be released as they, unlike Condors which can travel in space, can't. This makes their ability to gain such a close proximity without being detected very worrying. Airforce, you will provide troop transport and Air support, if this is their main base then expect Insurgent pilots that you’ll be able to pick off. Any PTS? *Answer Pts’* “Good, dismissed.”


*The recon team will be sent out and will discover that there is no main base, but they find Flood spores all around the old city and the main ship, also covered in spores. Flood will be roaming the streets causing them to retreat eventually. An Insurgent Hornet will crash near the marines and the Pilot named Wilson will crawl out of the wreckage as marines near and slowly stand with his hands up, order to hold fire should be issued. Wilson will immediately start off with as he’s the guns are pointed* “The Flood! They got on our ship! I took a hornet away as fast as I could and I don’t even know how to pilot the thing I just needed to live! please don’t shoot me!” *He will answer all questions in exchange for the offer of a spot in the corps or a chance to be saved from the flood. It will end quickly, if an AI scans him they will detect flood infection as he shifts into one and goes rogue with any weapons he has* Officer: “We need to wipe that information from that ship or the floor will access it and Learn how to make spartans! We have to destroy that ship and all of its details immediately before its too late!” *All personnel will load ships and fly to the Insurgent ship and infiltrate, wipe the intel, then destroy the ship, but on their way out will meet the Gravemind that has been growing over the years. After destroying it the officer will realize the planet is completely over run and the remnants of the ship need to be nuked to ensure they do not get information from the ship. A projectile nuke will destroy it after they start leaving to the Texas. They will head back to the main server for Debrief and the event will be finished.*


I, Cygnus, Agree and understand that I am not staff, and it is not my job to do staff duties, unless there is 0 staff on I will not use my commands unless needed. I also agree that I will not noclip/abuse my powers


I, Cygnus, acknowledge that this application is to be filled out with complete honesty. Being accepted will hold me at a higher standard in behavior and demeanor. Not doing my job or abusing will result in an instant demotion.


I, Cygnus, Swear to uphold the server rules, and enforce them, and stay within the limits and rights given to me by my assigned tank within GM’s. To keep a calm head and clear judgement when dealing with staff and or players in order to ensure fairness to all who join the server.


And that if I, Cygnus, am found in violation of the rules I swore to uphold, and of this contract, that I can and will be removed from GM’s and or staff and forever be banned from Re-applying, along with any other consequences that are deemed necessary.

1 In your opinion what made Halo work on a Gameplay and Narrative Level?

2: What other works have influenced you. IE games (Not HALO), books, movies, tv, ect

1. Halo is very open to many pathways that can push and pull how it works. The many different corps in Marines and sections in Oni, Naval, etc, allow for a free, open narrative. This is shown in how some games you, the main character, differ. In some you play as Master Chief, also known as John-117, all the way to ODST's in Halo 3 ODST. Such a vast amount of selections make it viable for players to train and go through them all(Including SoS and HOJ), and experiencing what it was really like outside of the three Different types of people you play in the games. The amount of options available are crucial for the Lore.


2. Most of the Dark souls games, with their ability to kick you from behind and push you into triumph even though it was extremely challenging. The first time you step out into
Anthem,by Ayn Rand, gave me a uniue perspective into the need of individuality, making me realize that you can't just expect people to not be themselves, nobody is the same. Giving characters their own unique traits instead of copying them is important.
Star Trek, both the movies and the show, gave me a great perspective of the Sci-Fi world. involving science and not just throwing insane concepts sometimes helped understand it better, making you feel more like a part of the show.
Fate/Zero, This show had a great mix of action and plot, helping me understand the balance between both. If there's too much action then there is no character development, making the show bland. Too much plot and not enough action makes some people disinterested, but not all. The balance between these two is crucial for great creations in a action series.

I like your answer and you are fun to play with. I am cautious to approve you simply because you only have three days (at time of application) on server. I am going to hold off on approving this for a couple of days and see you play in server. just so the playerbase gets familiar with you, and you get a sense of how the server as a whole and on a player level operates

yeah i dont rlly aprove with the low ingame time as you need more time on the server to see how we do things and learn so just get like 4 more days or even more if bether. so for now my vote on you shall be neutral +-1
