Tell us about yourself (1 paragraph minimum): I'm a 15-year-old British lad who likes to help people and is interested in becoming Forum Staff. Anyway, Study multiple subject E.g Maths, English, Computer Science and many others. When I leave school I will be going to Law school where I will spend 2-4 years studying to become a Lawyer. I am very interested in Law and politics hence why I am choosing this as a career. Apart from this not much to say here.
Why do you wish to join the forum staff team? (50 words minimum): The reason why I would like to join Forum Staff because I will gain experience from it and get more known in the community and actually do something to help out. Also, I am interested in learning how Forum Staff works since I have never done anything like this before. I also wish to join because usually when I am on I don't see much F.S since I live in Britain and I think I will help out since the Forums can be monitored near to all times.
What can you bring to the Forum Staff? (80 words minimum): I can only bring little to the Forums Team because of the lack of experience. But that is really it I am very active on the forums and since I am from Britain I can monitor the forums when other members of staff are either Sleeping/Working ect… Anyway, I am not Bias and I am very good at handling a tough situation and always read carefully. I would also consider myself to be calm and collective and look around both ways of anything to see if there are other options.
Why should you be picked over other applicants? (80 words minimum): There are no reasons why you should pick me I am better than no one I have no experience but what makes a little better is that I am mostly on the forums and browse around a lot to see what's up and I get involved with the community. I am also not biased and always look at a situation both ways. I would not consider myself an expert on handling situations but I know how to get around it in a fast and calm way so the situation does not get out of control/
Do you staff on any other servers?: No, I am not staff on any other servers.
How active will you be on the forums? (Realistically): I come on the forums a lot so I would say around 10 mins to 3 hours
Do you go to school/college/university? (For activity purposes): I go to school. I am going into Yr11
How active will you be on the community’s TS?: I only use TS for meetings but I can get more active if needs be.
Do you meet all of the requirements?: From what I have read, yes
Situational questions:
1. You get on the forums to find out two sides arguing and fighting over something that really isn't clear what it may be what do you do? (50 words recommended) At first, I would tell the users that are arguing to take their problems to DMs, while also informing current higher staff members in case there is something out of my control. After I would read what they are arguing about to see if what the current situation is and then allowing me/staff to monitor the arguing to see if they continue.
2. You are looking through a few threads and find some non-SFW (Safe for Work) words used in a post, what do you do? (Normal Swearing is OK I mean harsh profanity) (50word recommended) I would remove the post since it could offend people and verbally warn the user who has used the harsh profanity. I would also let high command know if the user so if I am not around they would know about the situation. Anyway, If the user carries on I would issue him with another verbal warning and then follow the punishment guidelines if continued.
3. If you are also staff for a server as a mod and the SM is being verbally abusive to people in the shoutbox using racial slurs and calling them any sort of unpleasant names, what would you do? (50 word recommended) I would take screenshots while also informing higher-ups since this is unprofessional behavior for someone who is meant to be a role model. If higher-ups do not respond I would try to calm the situation by reading back what was said and then see why he lashed out. After higher ups come on I would let the higher-ups take care of the situation and decide what happens to the SM.
4. What would you do if someone (player/staff and/or yourself) is being harassed on the forums? (80 word recommended) I would investigate the situation to see what he is doing and how he is doing it. When the evidence is collected I would message the user to stop this otherwise punishments will be handed out to him E.g Warns. If the user carries on I will ban him for a reasonable amount of time and give him the message so the user knows why he/she is banned. While also informing the person the user has harrased to see if any harm was done and to inform that user will not be bothering he/she.
