I say so and we don't have to add every little fucking thing to rules it has been said by directors and owners, but you also can do what you just said as long as it does not go off topic my good man.

I know my guy, I used the ole "show me the evidence" just to spike a good argument. But it didn't go off topic and taught not only her about why a backstory is important but everyone who is thinking of applying.

Can you please show me the forum rule that says that I need to provide a +1 or -1? I chose to abstain from this vote but I didn't choose to abstain from informing someone on what I think. My post stays on topic, is informative and allows *you*, the applicant to learn something.

It doesn't mean much except dictating how you RP as that character. Your back story is the most important part in creating a character. RP has a lot of the same elements as improve but the reason RP is great is because you have time to think of a story. So if your backstory isn't good enough then it makes it hard to not only RP as that character but be another user attempting to RP with that character.

I would very much like you to go read my other app and see how little effort and back story there was regarding that. Seeing as that character turned out alright rp wise and basically had no story.

That is not something to be proud of. You just self-admitted a lack of effort in creating that application, and that alone takes away from the quality of the character. With poorly defined motivators, your character is destined to be aimless, and that does not make for good RP. Please address Kaje's points, as well.

You are expected to roleplay decently; which is always transcribed through how well you write here. In HRP and VRP, you have microphones; you do not require any writing abilities. Also, from what I have observed, HRP and VRP is more lacking in seriousness. Therefore, you guys (those in the two realms) have lesser standards than those who are dedicated to MERP.

1st I'de like to say your not exactly showing your much better than the rest of us by calling out other servers and promoting your's as the best. Second off we use microphones because we have to give orders in the heat of battle, if you want serious rp how would be standing in the middle of a battlefield typing out an order while being shot at serious at all? Also saying we have lesser standards however all I see from you attack other servers and people. Before you attack other servers I suggest keeping it anonymous ;)
