Luma'Valla Vas Raelarm, Originally Luma'Valla Nar Veraka was born in 2157 on a Quarian supply frigate with the same name as her last name. Born to the ships senior engineer and a member of the medical personnel. As a Quarian in her early years she didn't exactly do much. Not until she was seven anyway. Her time was spent inside of a sterilization bubble until she could actually fit into the smallest variant of the Enviro suit. Her parents tried to teach her basic educational skills from an early age. Usually by showing her videos and imagery from outside her bubble. Their aim being to give her a head start in life before she was even able to move around herself.

By the age of seven she was into her first enviro-suit. This alone proved a challenging time as most Quarians would learn to walk at this age. Something other races achieved early on. It took roughly a year to get generally good at walking. Which was around the same time she was thrown into education. A fairly fast process for most Quarian where gaining knowledge early on was seen as important. Needless to say this meant a trip to a new ship. The live ship Rayya. This wasn't a ship change, it just so happened this was one of the three places education was done. Luma wasn't excelling at anything physical early on. But her scores in academic subjects had definitely increased. Mainly mathematics as well as some sciences.

Luma's education didn't go through primary and secondary education. Instead she just kept going up in year groups until education was finished. She ended up with her races equivalent of an A for the sciences. And an A* for mathematics. She'd also at this time taken astronomical study as a side course and found herself fairly proficient at reading star maps. Her crew choices were expanding at this point and by the time she left full on education she had a few offers to join other ships. However her choices took her down a different path. Flying was something Luma had always taken interest in. However becoming the Helmsman of a frigate wasn't exactly what she wanted to do. She knew full well all she'd be doing was leaving the ship on auto pilot and following wherever the fleet went.

Instead Luma decided to go onto her Pilgrimage at around eighteen. She was going to make it quick though. Get in, Find something to do. Do it and get out, Bringing a small ship back to the fleet. She ended up working in a cafe briefly. Her wages weren't great but by the end of around two years, she'd made enough money on the side to buy a small freighter craft. Which she took back to the fleet. This gave her the option to select a new ship to become a crew member aboard. She after careful consideration transferred a crew join request off to the Raelarm, A Migrant Fleet Marine training ship. Not with the aim to become a Marine. But with the intention to become a pilot for them. Landing craft if you must. Needless to say it wasn't too hard to find herself accepted into this role. Not many wanted to do it and her scores were excellent.

Training to become a pilot seemed a little harder than she'd expected. In space she thought she'd have no issue. There's no chance to fall out of the sky and auto pilot can do a fair amount for you. However atmospheric flight training. That was a whole different story. Every decision at every moment counted. Wind resistance effected your ship. Gravity took into play. Even G-forces seemed worse and when pulling a Manuever you had to make absolutely sure the ship wouldn't lost too much speed. Not to mention the fact that she knew she'd have to transport entire squads down to where they needed to go. So crashing definately wasn't an option. Needless to say she was getting the hang of the difficult job. Being perfectly capable of breaking into orbit, landing, taking off and then breaking out of orbit once more. She'd even got the hang of docking her own craft into larger ships. Weapons training was minimal. The dropships had two mounted guns on each side which she had access too. If a copilot couldn't do it. And she'd been training with a Predator just in case she did ever get shot down.

Reaching the age of twenty-five was when she actually passed all flight checks. Was considered both flight and combat ready and was transferred to an actual unit. Still operating from the same ship she was placed with a group of Marines often used to land on other planets and guard groups of scientists there to check the conditions of the planet for a possible home world. The job was usually the same. The ship would land, Everyone would deploy. And then come back a day later looking disappointed. She didn't mind at all though. For her the fun of the job was the freedom she gained from it. She didn't have to be cooped up inside a cramped live fleet ship 24/7 and she got to do what she enjoyed. Something that lasted for four more years or so. The same thing for this four years. Landing and finding dissapointed. Not for her anyway.

2186 Approached and Luma was starting to look at other alternatives. Possible work options outside of the flotilla altogether. Tasks forces and the likes. A search that took her a rather long time. And one that was abruptly cut short as the Reaper war began. Not to mention the Quarians had deciced in such a difficult time. To for some reason attempt to retake Rannoch. Luma during this operation had deployed several times. Constantly ferrying troops back and forth in a smaller craft. Having a few near misses with Geth AA. The war how ever ended somehow in an Alliance between the two races. Great news for both but at the same time she knew her job wouldn't be as needed anymore. And she still wanted to help out with the War Effort.

Luma had discovered another crew operating with their own ship. A mixed race group hired by New Eden. She of course found herself signing up for this. With a pilot position available it almost seemed perfect. If she got this or not was another story. (If it's accepted or not.)

What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? : Luma wishes to make a greater impact to the outcome of the Reaper war somehow. She knew after the retake of Rannoch that most Quarians would rather stay back on their own planet. She also wanted to continue doing what she enjoyed doing. That and her experience as a pilot would probably be needed. The job seems like a good idea for a Quarian anyway. There's less chances to be hit.
