Having Trouble Connecting To The Server

This problem is only occurring with the Revival Halo RP server. I've connected to multiple servers, and Halo RP is the only server in which I have confronted this issue. Please help, I've googled and researched about this with no resolution. I want to play this amazing server, where I was also thinking about donating.

Have you tried joining today? I went through server files last night and I know some of the people who were having this issue was fixed for them after releasing the update.

Usually this happens when your computer doesn't have enough available ram to run. That's what i remember when this happened to me. Try closing other programs before starting Gmod

I have 16 GB of RAM, I still don't understand why It would consume all 16 GB.

Strange. When that happened to me I fixed it by closing more programs but the same error message might appear for lots of problems. Sorry

---This worked for another person that tried to join, he updated his drivers and cleaned his addons---​

~The error itself usually coincides with your computer not having enough memory to process everything so as a precautionary, Gmod closes down. If you have over 6GBs of ram you should be “ok”. But it’s good to have at least 8GBs so you can pretty much join any server.

~HOWEVER, if you have enough ram, it could also mean a few other things:
-Windows/OS version not compatible
-Too many addons for GMod
-Out of date drivers
-GPU doesn’t have enough memory.
-More but depends on the situation...

Now, here’s a few fixes:
~Remove all your addons and only install ones you “need”
~Run GMod windowed with or without borders
~Get a driver tool such as Driverbooster and make sure all drivers are up to date
~Go into the GMod console and type “Menu_cleanupgmas” to get rid of unused addons.
~Put “-dxlevel 95” in your GMod launch settings
~LAST fix ONLY if you’re running windows 7. Right click the GMod shortcut (if you don’t have one, make it) and launch in Windows Compatibility mode.
