Characters Backstory: Titus was born in the year 2158, on Palaven, being the oldest of his two brothers. Since Titus's father was a Sergeant in the Turian army, he didn't see him much, but when he was around he was very rough on Titus and his brothers trying to make them into men.
Titus was being molded into a the perfect soldier by his father. His mother was very proud of him and at around the age of thirteen his father began to ease up. Although his father eased up he continued to be the same young man he was. Titus became happier and he began to enjoy life. This surge of happiness soon ended when his father became sick with a disease known as Corpalis Syndrome. It ate away at Titus knowing there was no cure or effective treatment to deal with this. Titus became different and wasn’t the same around friends and family.
After his fifteenth birthday he was sent off to basic training like every other turian at the age of fifteen. The training would last a year and then he would be assigned to a branch and or division. During the training Titus excelled in marksmanship, hand to hand combat, and close quarters combat. During basic training he made a friend named Kaestius despite not having much downtime. Titus began to come out of the slump he was in with the help of Kaestius. At the end of his basic training Titus was assigned to the 43rd Marine Division, while Kaestius was assigned to the Turian 6th fleet. Titus knew this was the end of the road for the two friends and they parted ways to their duty stations.
In the 43rd Marine Division they would do many training with the different council militaries such as Asari, Salarian and Alliance. This is where Titus met Valelya who would become a lifelong friend. She was an Asari commando in which he trained with. Typically the 43rd would train with other divisions and battalions so this was a rare occasion. Doing these trainings strengthened the two's friendship. Titus would go on to serve for 12 years going to many different places before his biggest challenge approached him. The Reapers in the year 2186 would attack Palaven and he would be called home to the defense of Palaven.
Titus left for Palaven from his deployment station in Thessia as soon as the first colony was struck. When Titus arrived on Palaven with the rest of the 43rd there was nothing he could do but wait. Three weeks had passed before the reapers came to claim Palaven. It wasn’t long before the reaper forces begun to land and attack. Titus was in one of the first positions to be attacked. The horrors Titus witnessed could never be explained, position after position the Reapers overan, bodies upon bodies of brave men who gave their lives for the notion of peace. Titus and the 43rd eventually started to push back the Reapers after months of fighting and death. At about the same time the Reapers were pushed back and off Palaven, the fleet drove back the Reaper fleet.Titus never realized that the bodies he saw were children. Fifteen and sixteen year olds all pushed out of basic training onto the frontline. Later that month he received his discharge from the military...alongside the death notice of his two little brothers. They had died in the fighting at a colony a little bit away from Palaven. Titus came out of the invasion fairly sound with no physical, or mental problem but he was still shook about his little brothers.
Titus’s life after the military was a bit slow and depressing but things were looking good as one day when he was sitting in his home, looking through his personal messages when he received one from Valelya about New Eden.
What is your character's goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? : Titus wants to acquire funds to retire and live a normal life. Titus was hired after Valelya told the captain of Prometheus about his skillset as a soldier.
