Characters name/nicknames: Jeffery Dexter Boomhauer III, commonly known as Jeff Boomhauer with the nickname Jarhead.

Characters Backstory((The longer, and more detailed the backstory, the most likely you will be accepted.)) :
Jeff Boomhauer was born in Ledford, Indiana, which was one of the few rural parts left on the Earth. There he essentially grew up as a hick, and problem child. Throughout his schooling he'd constantly get in fights for what were largely stupid reason, mostly insults regarding his intelligence. Which he has been significantly lacking in throughout his life, having hardly graduated High School.
Boomhauer's home life was not particularly pleasant. He lived in a run down home with an abusive father who could hardly hold down a job, and used the fact he was a Veteran of the First Contact War as an excuse. His mother, like most other people in the area, was an alcoholic. Boomhauer began drinking at the age of 14. Which may very well explain some of his idiocy.
Boomhauer however focused on more rural and redneck parts of life. He worked in a Quarry for part of his life, which gained him a basic amount of mechanical explosive experience. Hunting in particular was one of his favorite pass-times, whenever he could. Which was difficult due to the lack of rural land left.
After he graduated at the age 17, he joined the Alliance Marines. During one of the sniper tourneys he proved himself to be an exceedingly good shot, and was taken into sniper training. He was one of the very few in the group of recruits to pass the course and become a designated Sniper. He also exceeded in other parts of training that didn't require much intellect, such as Physical Training, and following orders. Following orders is a key part of Boomhauer's train of thought. He being of the opinion that orders must be followed no matter what, so long as they come from those above.
When Boomhauer graduated from Boot Camp, he was assigned to the 10th Frontier Division, which dealt heavily with Batarian Piracy. In this Division, snipers were very often ordered to mercy kill. This is because many commanders deemed death better than slavery, and Batarians loved to take slaves from colonies.
In Boomhauer this instilled an amazingly obvious, and radical prejudiced towards Batarians, having being quoted at one point "What do you call a billion dead Batarians? A good start.". It also gave Boomhauer a good amount of emotional trauma.
Boomhauer also took place in raids on Batarian pirate ships, were it can be assumed he often times abused and murdered people on board. Recently, he threatened a crew member with"If you don't shut up I will murder you with my bare fucking hands." When asked what he was thinking at this time, he could be quoted saying "I thought the only way to shut him up would be the same way I did it with the Batarian kids."
Unfortunately for Boomhauer, 3 years into his second tour he was Honorably Discharged after a Marine Psychologist diagnosed him with Unspecified Trauma Related Disorder after a brief mental breakdown of his. While Boomhauer, if ever asked about the situation, would describe it as minor and insignificant, reports of the incident would suggest otherwise. Describing him at one point as sobbing in a corner screaming "I could have saved them-" repeatedly, most likely in regard to a few of his ordered mercy kills.
Boomhauer took a brief year long leave before joining the Crew of the Icarus, and ironically got many of his old CO's to vouch on his behalf for his resume. Citing his undying willingness to take orders, as well as his effectiveness with weapons and combat.
What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden?: Comradery. He seemed like a good soldier.
