How long have you played on the server?: I’m actually still in the process of joining and getting myself established in the community. I have quite a few friends from past communities who play here, so I figured I’d get into it, both because I love the Mass Effect Universe, and I'd love to have the chance to play as a Quarian. (At the time of making this app. After minor edits, it's been about 2 days)
Characters name/nicknames: Rene'Tela nar Sotalir, but for simplicity sake, she goes by ‘Tela’

Early Childhood:
When Tela was young, she was set growing up on one of the many ships amongst the Migrant Fleet. The moment she had began to learn of Quarian technologies, and their history, Tela’s father, who had a history of Military Service, had influenced her significantly during her childhood. Tela had quickly developed not only a hatred for the Geth, but a hatred for any evil amidst the Universe. Tela’s father had quickly began urging her into Military service, as he had a significant role amidst the Fleet’s Army himself. As soon as she was old enough, Tela had began to observe the crew herself, most of her time spent amidst the bridge, while her father worked. Tela had taken a particular interest in the System Operations, observing the Operators as they maintained and re-routed energy through the vital features of their particular ship. Tela had began to ask questions, learning more and more about the details of their duties among the ship, and it wasn’t long before she herself, could begin to take the reigns of said task.
Middle To Late Childhood:
When Tela had turned about Nineteen, the day to begin her Pilgrimage had came, and she was more than prepared. Throughout her early childhood, her father had shown her how to operate basic systems amidst the Bridge. With the help of her father, Tela had already found a ship to move to, in order to fulfil her Pilgrimage, the ship was called the Thanatos. Departing from her Migrant Fleet, this was the last time Tela would see her father. Boarding the Thanatos, Tela was greeted by a small crew, all of whom were happy to have her aboard, it wasn’t long before they had taken her to her new station, where she’d work in an attempt to fulfil her Pilgrimage, as her goal at the time was to return home afterward. Tela had undertaken a complex, and strenuous training process, where she was shown exactly how to maintain and operate vital systems of the ship. Of course, she had help of other crew members, she would be shadowing them for quite some time before she would be both capable, and trusted, with the solo task.
Early Adulthood:
It had been about a year and a half since Tela had undertaken her task as the Systems Operator aboard the Thanatos, having just recently finished her shadowing process, she was now ready to live up to the task on her own. All was quiet for several months, Tela’s duties included simply maintaining the status and integrity of the ship’s functions, however, the Thanatos was about to undercome a new task. The Thanatos was simply a small exploration ship, dedicated to scouting for possible home planets for a larger grouping of ships. The Thanatos had come across a planet that seemed habitable, and they made way to land. Tela was instructed to stay aboard the ship, along with several other crew members amidst the bridge, while the others had taken the liberty to scout the planet on foot. Several hours had passed, contact with the ground team being kept consistently. However, the silence was broken by a sudden exchange of gunfire from outside of the ship. Communications began to flare with activity, the ground team reporting hostile contact on the Surface, they had reported that they were outnumbered, and forced to retreat back to the ship. The crew scrambled to their positions, preparing themselves. The ground team returned to the ship hastily, the firing of weapons still audible from outside as they piled in, several members were missing. Being hastily instructed to take off, the pilot complied, shifting the thrusters to full power in an attempt to flee. Tela was now in charge of diverting energy throughout the ship. Still taking fire, Tela had diverted most of the ship’s power to the thrusters, and the external shielding systems. The lights flicking as she did so, but the ship managed to take off quickly, where Tala was then able to return everything to normal, this was Tala’s first engagement.
Recent Past to Present:
After taking minor damage, the Thanatos returned to it’s main fleet to undergo small repairs. Aboard a larger ship now, Tela had been recognized by the Captain, thanks to her ability to act under a stressful situation, and get everyone out safely. The Captain had offered her a position amidst the larger Carrier. She happily accepted, and within a few days undertook her new position. Aboard this ship, the Actium, her duties were much less enthralling, she didn’t see a single day of action over the course of several months. Tela’s task the entire time was to maintain and distribute the power to the systems of the ship, and it wasn’t long before she had an opportunity to become a member amidst the New Eden. Tela’s Captain had told her that another ship required a final person to fill the position of their Systems Operator, and due to Tela’s loyalty, and dedication to her work, she was given the chance. She, once again happily accepted the opportunity, still set out to accomplish something of significance in order to finish her Pilgrimage, and return home. Only after a few days, her transfer was complete, and she boarded a small transport, to take her to her new home, the Prometheus.
What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? : Tala, at the moment, wishes to complete her Pilgrimage, though that is of course subject to change. She was hired by New Eden due to the lack of a second Systems Operator aboard the Icarus. Tala was a prime candidate for the position, due to her loyalty, devotion, and ability to remain calm in tense situations.
