There is barely any longer a happy spot in Halo that I use to have, a comfortable zone I could live in. There is now just anxiety bubbles, and a lot of distaste to this and it's not really the server it's the Marine faction a faction that feels less of a starter faction and more of a pain in your neck that the server is forcing you to leave the faction or else you are punished detrimentally. That is correct I feel as if this server is forcing you to not like a faction, and that is the faction you start as immediately when you leave spawn it's "Join this!" and "Join that!" when I want to stay committed because I didn't see what was wrong with marines at first-... until I look at how we are trained-... @DaBeast I'm sorry to say this but as Chief Warrant Officer who leads the training it seems like you've built marines from the ground up with false hope and ignorance which is why people choose quickly to leave Marines not because nothing happens but the people you are led by and the people around you treat like something but really they treat you like nothing. They give you this false sense of security that you can do anything to new players like me, and list what past marines have accomplished they expect new players to say "I want to be like him!" when really from what I've been saying and most have been saying we are surronded by agents with one shot kill limits, ONI with mass amounts of armor, and Spartans with a variety in skill sets and we are forced to fight them in both CQC because you have nothing else of experiencing to do on the ship other than CQC the textsvreen next to the door says "You're not forced to enter CQC." when really you think about it-.. you really are forced to enter the CQC or sit AFK waiting for something to happen and then the other which is worse we are forced to fight agents in trainings and use this idea of "teamwork" which is supposedly how is taught by rather instead of morally and common sense it's taught by who can yell the loudest and can insult the hardest and then Razor list on the past marine accomplishments which establish pressure, and false hope on new marines then the next day their morale is killed and they leave marines. I realize that people leave marines because marines teach a false sense of security and hope. Which when I could've been doing tryouts instead I wanted to stay committed to marines but instead you are being slapped in the face and treated less for your skills and expected more from the past marine accomplishments. The ignorance of that everyone has different learning styles and speed is cut off with a "I know that!" but driven off in training with "These marines did this to a agent." so that tells me you don't know that because you're comparing different learning speeds, and styles to fresh people who haven't been given a chance to show their sets of skills because their set of skills are not matched with the tedious every single day marines vs agents training. I left SCP for an experience, and I stayed in marines to set off an example sadly the only example I can set for you is that this what a guy who had a set of skills but was told to follow a different set and go by the same example of what a few past marines can do compared to what I could do, I gave you an example of a trying failure. The SeriousRP and Events are probably now the only things keeping me on the server now if you got any suggestions or supportive messages please post them, anything helps.

The starter platoons of marines are a rough bunch, and it is hard to really build it when it is the frontline of people joining and dipping from the server. Quite honestly I would reccomend to try the military police branch, get some expierience under your belt with climbswep
and try for ODST, or attempt to get into bravo platoon of marines. whiskey 5-4 is a solid group, and Golf 0-4 is a budding squad that is led by an amazing guy.

if you are completely soured to the marines, I would say airforce has some fun with (mainly hornets and pelicans), navy does research side and is very low stress, and army it a bit high strung but are not in that one-shot range (if you are looking for gear).

Geiger and Rhino pick a bit differently but function as decently respected groups that deal with hazardous material containment. aside from that, If you show some promise you can easily be picked up by the office or spartans.

Now, If you wish to step up and double down in the starting marine branch, thats a different story entirely. that, we can talk about in DMs. we are always glad to have competent NCOs, and if the training is conducted as who can yell the loudest, thats an issue that I hope to solve very fast.
if you’d like to talk about anything, I’d be happy to hop in TS. I’ve been around the block for a while.

While Marines can certainly put a good fight against an Agent I feel like marines should be PvPing higher targets like Freelancers/HoJ/SoS/Spartans way less than they PvP against each other. Having marines split into two teams gives both a very equal playing field that comes down to more skill and less damage soaking.

I will agree with you that CW3 Razor needs to tone it down on talking about past accomplishments of various, those will not matter if someone quickly gets thrashed in the arena and they realize they failed to live up to his expectations. And while yes it is nice if they manage to kill an Agent or a Spartan he shouldn't constantly flout it to the next generation and repeat the cycle.

Just keep at it and remember the marines that give you trouble probably wont stick around for too long in the first place.

We on Halo RP have started to look at faction leads currently the marines leadership is not that strong due to as Aible said the marines usually dip almost as soon as they join. We currently are going through leads and trying to get more people in leadership positions in the marines. I understand you show distaste towards ONI and Spartans being powerful but understand especially spartans in lore are very strong. If you could go ahead and look up Spartans on Halo Nation you’ll understand why they are very strong. Spartans, Higher tier ONI Agents, Sangheili, and Jiralanhae are all classes that must be worked hard for and are sortive an end game. These units are equipped with advanced technology and armor in lore. These units are not so powerful because of bias or favoritism, but because of their lore within Halo itself.

Oh no I don't show distaste to it, like I said in the thread to what I said for them being powerful is that in trainings or CQC we are surrounded as marines by powerful ONI, Spartans, and higher tier people and we are forced to take our diverse set of skills and abandon to follow a different set of skills set by allegedly past marines who have allegedly fought these higher tiers. I'm not in any distaste of the higher classes at all I'm just saying why to force us to the leadership of marines to be fighting these higher tiers when I want to start from the what I know first and work up instead of starting automatically at a high tier freelancer, and setting limitations to them does not matter what they have better than us is learning power that they have been trained differently, and they have a different set of skills they gained from across the time while we are beginners and we all start at a different level yet are trained the same thing that hurts us the most.

I'm going to have to agree with Popo because of the fact that Spartans and ONI are strong is true. Spartans had to go through augmentations which made them very strong. I wish Marines would be able to face each other in simulations and could practice their combat skills against each other. Basically like this, Naval Special Task Force would go against another member who is in the Naval Special Task Force. A Phoenix member would go against another member who is in Phoenix. You get my point here, people with same armor and weapons go against each other. With the strongest go against other people who are as strong as them. And I would appreciate if this would happen.

In my opinion Marines right now don't need more rigorous training , that is why there are other spec ops units in the server , to enhance said training. What marines need most of all right now is a stable Leadership. Even if most marines' training is mediocre at best a good leader can greatly amplify their effectiveness. I'm trying to do that , but marines lack NCOs who stay long enough to stabilize their authority and leadership long enough.

p.s : i'm a different Kai.
