The way I have been looking at it is. I can go guard as either mp or ff (as long as I pass the asvab for said job(s)) then once I get out, I will meet all the requirements for the civilian jobs.Speaking as someone who wants to go into law enforcement later in life, and has family members and friends who are actively serving as police officers, fire fighters, and in the military, I'd say no matter which direction you go you'll be doing something great.. Go whichever direction you feel more comfortable with or passionate about and you'll love it.
