Early in her life on the migrant fleet, Rivi found a relative interest in sewing and clothing design, getting most of her inspiration from extranet forums that posted about EVO suit ideas. Salvaging cloth from shipping tarps and carpets on the ship to stitch onto her own suit. Years into her education from the fleet, Rivi like all the other students, had to take general education health courses, which would be the hook into her medical career when connecting the instance of cloth sewing and stitching from a video the instructor showed in class one day. Within a semester after her initial exposure to the medical field, Rivi began taking Biomed and Surgical technician courses in in pursuit of becoming a doctor.
Beginning her pilgrimage a few years after her initial medical training was completed, Rivi set her sights on the bright lights of Illium, utilizing the knowledge from Asari Doctors. She pursued her training with them for about a year, searching for a medical role within the city, though had very little luck considering her race. Drowning in her displeasure at a local watering hole, Rivi overheard a small scale merc group hiring a third man for their supply run operation. Leaning her attention to the rough looking crowd, Rivi enlisted with the ragtag group due to the demand of a doctor on the team.
Little did Rivi know that the supply run was starting at Korlus, the StarCraft cemetery. Rivi counted the visit to this planet as a blessing and a curse, the planets murder statistics weren’t in her favor for sure, but the likelihood of her finding a salvageable part to bring back to the fleet here was extremely alluring. Within the second day on Korlus with the group, Rivi managed to obtain schematics to an improved FTL drive that could fit one of the recycled ships that the Migrant Fleet utilizes actively. The tone to this job would change quickly once Rivi’s team went and betrayed her for some unknown motive, most likely to get her cut in the end. The younger quarian had to think on her feet here, she chose to hide and search for a way off the metal corpse of a planet. Finally coming across a shuttle fitted with its own technical issues, Rivi would spend her days and nights starving and confused whilst attempting to repair the malfunctioning shuttle for space travel, the inexperienced and traumatized quarian managed to exit the atmosphere with the jury-rigged shuttle and made a successful relay jump, only to have the shuttle stall on exit. Sending distress beacons with the available equipment on-board it wouldn’t be long until a passing civilian ship would pick her up and have her returned to the Migrant Fleet.
Now with her pilgrimage complete and her medical training sharpened to a tip, Rivi sought out a position on board the fleet as a Surgeon. Though RIvi would gradually become more dissatisfied with the fashion in which the fleet was treating her in pursuit of her occupation, feeling like they were ungrateful of her sacrifices and knowledge. It would not be long until Rivi once again left the fleet, coincidently at the beginning of the Reaper War.
Seeking out a new hub for her to utilize her medical talents, a hub that was safe and free of harmful misleading mercs and professionals in her field that think “She’s not good enough.”; In this case the citadel. Entering the market at the right time where there were plenty of patients to treat and not enough dextro based professionals to help them; Rivi was snatched up by medical personnel and appointed to an advanced triage in docking bay A43. She would spend the following years treating war victims, refugees and quarians alike, garnering praise and status amongst sections of the citadel, and Luna corp. With her race and occupation drawing plenty of attention, Rivi would accept their invitation into their (family), for better or for worse.
What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? : Although she still retains a reserved personality, Rivi intends to assist the crew in survival and health, attempting to make each operation from start to end more comfortable in the end.
