Seeking server info

Hi I am a new player looking for a good halo server and this seems to be a decent community, but I want to know how the server works and what is/isn’t available.

one of the greatest things about the server is that you can ascend based on hard work and persistence.
most halo servers require donation to get into Spartans, or odst, or any high position. here, you can ascend by just being active and getting known.
heck you can get hand selected for spartan or other large factions. you dont need to drop money to access the good functions.
this has been the first server I have found across all of gmod that doesn't require a donation to get powerful weapons and inventory. additionally, the people here are pretty chill and you can have a good time in off times too.

its not perfect, but it is better than any halo server I have seen. (I shopped around before coming to revival, and I'd say it was worth joining)

What is the faction variety aside from UNSC? I have heard talk of SoS and HoJ, but idk what HoJ is, and am curious as to how both factions play a role, and also wonder if there are other factions too; also, is this a PvP, or PvE server?

Mainly a PvE server with a splash of pvp in certain areas and events. (main area is the CQB room where you can challenge other players to contests)

SoS or Swords of Sanghelios are made up of the traditional covenant species who have split from the covenant and work with humans. there you will have elites, jakals, and grunts.

HoJ or Hearts of Jiralahele is made up of purely brutes, and have much the same thought process behind them. they were hired by the unsc much like a PMC, but mostly remain as an independent organization.

as for rp, they generally do their own thing.

as for UNSC, they have four-5 mini factions inside of it consisting of ONI, ODST, Marines, Naval, and airforce. Naval works with ships, Airforce flies vehicles, ONI does all sort of spook stuff, marines work as cannon fodder for events, ODST generally stick to themselves and do the most serious of the RP on the server

Marines can be a lot of fun if you have a solid leader, but honestly there is a large selection.

Yeah... I guess it's a pretty good community, but just be wary of some people, and certain positions. They can cause a lot of stress.
