What forum experience do you have? (Please specify what communities you have worked for and what you had to do): Not much really, I'm active on SCP forums with giving my opinion on applications and such and talking with people.
Have you ever been banned from the Shout Box or forums, and have you been warned for anything on the forums?: No, I have not been banned or warned on any forums.
Tell us about yourself (1 paragraph minimum): I am an American 15-year-old living in EST time, I mainly play on the SCP Server. I play on it every day for multiple hours. I'm a senior game maker and do events often and I got staff of the week 2 of the 4 weeks I have been a game maker. Besides the server, I like studying and building computers for my friends and playing games with my friends often. I'm also in band and soccer team for my high school (I play the flute). I enjoy spending my free time playing video games on my custom built, dual monitor, gaming PC. I play with my friends but my first go to when I have none of my friends online or not interested in playing any other games is to check forums for notifications and talk and to get on Garry's mod to play some SCP.
I did post and complain a lot in my early days of the SCP forums, but that was months ago, I outgrew that and try to be respectful and not complain on forums since it's more about RP and conversation and about the game.
Why do you wish to join the forum staff team? (50 words minimum): I want to join forum staff because I'm very active on forums and I find it VERY fun to participate and talk to people. I think it would be good to have someone who is active on forums and who enjoys it so much. I like helping people and bringing joy to people on forums. I like participating in forums for roleplay and conversation, being a staff for forums would just be a bonus so I could have fun and help forums stay in check and keep rules on.
What can you bring to the Forum Staff? (80 words minimum): I can bring activity, myself I can be very active, I think it would be good to have someone who can be on forums literally all day while other forum staff can do other things. Most forum staff I would think would be at work or doing other things with their life, but since I'm younger (and don't have anything to do/no job) I can be on all day. If I was in forum staff I could keep forums in check and be the first one to see the newest posts and see if anyone is doing anything bad or breaking any forum guidelines/rules.
Why should you be picked over other applicants? (80 words minimum): I think it would be a good choice if I was apart of forum staff because I can be active all day while other forum staff might not be able too. I can be very nonbiased when in a controlled environment and try my best to resolve situations. I can multitask for forums since I can have the forums browser on multiple of my screens. I am on forums very very often and it would be good to have someone online to always see the first posts and be the first to stop any flaming, arguments, or anything breaking rules/guidelines.
Do you staff on any other servers?: No, only staff for Revival
How active will you be on the forums? (Realistically): About all day, I have two monitors, plenty of ram to handle multiple chrome tabs at the same time so I could never close it. The only time I would probably close my tabs/Revival forums is when I go to sleep or when I'm not on my computer. I am on my computer every day for summer and don't have any vacations planned so I can be active on forums all day for the entire summer. But sometimes usually once a week I spend an entire day playing/hanging out with my friends. So probably about once a week I would not be active.
Do you go to school/college/university? (For activity purposes): Yeah I'm in high school but at the moment it is summer break so I can be VERY active.
How active will you be on the community’s TS?: I don't go on TS often, but usually when I'm bored or want to talk to someone about Revival or SCPs I go on Teamspeak. If it is needed I can be on TS often, there's no problem with me keeping it on all the time because again, two monitors. It makes this job and everything easier.
Do you meet all of the requirements?: Yes, in my opinion at least.
Situational questions:
1. You get on the forums to find out two sides arguing and fighting over something that really isn't clear what it may be what do you do? (50 words recommended)
I would read over the post and comments to get some insight, after that I would make a public comment to not argue and fight over it on a public forum and to talk to each other in the DM's. After telling them I would monitor that forum to assure no other arguing occurs in the post anymore. If it does I would warn the people arguing and aks a higher up what to do specifically.
2. You are looking through a few threads and find some non-SFW (Safe for Work) words used in a post, what do you do? (Normal Swearing is OK I mean harsh profanity) (50word recommended)
I would delete the post quickly so that no one would be offended. I would warn people heavily swearing or for using inappropriate chat. I would PM them telling them why they were warned and to be careful for next time because some people might be offended about what they said.
3. If you are also staff for a server as a mod and the SM is being verbally abusive to people in the shoutbox using racial slurs and calling them any sort of unpleasant names, what would you do? (50 word recommended)
Instantly I would record and take screenshots of this and give them to my higher-ups. As I would be waiting for my senior to reply I would look for what caused the anger. If my senior doesn't respond quickly enough I would try to calm down the SM and keep him from swearing at anyone and offending people.
4. What would you do if someone (player/staff and/or yourself) is being harassed on the forums? (80 word recommended)
If publically in a post I would most likely tell my higher-ups, depending on how bad it is I would either delete the post and warn the player after that I would PM the person why the post was bad and not to do it again. If it was mild diss or harassment I would reply saying to change the document within a certain amount of time or else I would delete the post and warn them. If it's private as in PM's I would tell the person to take screenshots and give evidence, tell the person to tell them to stop and tell them to block them. I would warn the player who was harassing and tell them not to do that again.
