Name (Steam Name): [RS] FinalSamuel123
Tell us about yourself: My name is Sprite and im a Senior Admin on Halo. Im a very relaxed person and i try my best to be friendly with everyone i meet. i have always wanted to go into Game Development and make it my career. But i could never really get into coding. I tried to teach my self Python by dong online classes but i quickly got bored of it. Not because of the coding part, but i feel like i wold learn better if i have an actual person teaching me. So with Walrusking offering to teach people who have no experience, id figure this would be the best time to see if coding is really for me.
What role are you taking? (Programmer, Server Configurator, Mapper etc.): Configurator/Programmer
Please describe your experience in the field relevant to the role you're applying for: Very Little. From some of the videos i watched i know some things. I know the difference between Client and Server side. Anything the affects the user is client side and anything that affects the server, is server side. The script below i didnt do all by myself, the video i watched gave the basic format i just used the wiki to do other stuff. When you run the script, it basically just tells you if the player is in a vehicle, this would be client side.
local ply = LocalPlayer()
local InVehicle = ply:InVehicle()
print(InVehicle)
This is really how far my experience goes, but i am more than eager to learn more.
Why do you want to become a developer for Revival? (One Paragraph Min.): I already love the revival community i joined the staff team for this reason. So to help revival in more ways is really good. Like i stated before, i want to learn how to code but teaching myself wasn't working out. So with Walrusking offer to teach people how to dev. This is an opportunity i couldn't pass up. I am 100% ready to learn more.
What can you bring to the development team?: Currently? Nothing. But with Walrusking teaching people and with time i really thing id one day be a good member of the Dev team
Any extra information please add it here:
Not much i want to add, but if i do get accepted, i am excited to be learning all the ins and outs of coding!
