(I'd like to preface this application by stating two things. Yes, I know I just joined the server. And that I'm out of a event producer job and I'd like to start again. I'm just throwing my talent out there and seeing if anyone wants to use them)

Whats your name in game? How long do you have in game?: Supp0WND, I have 6000 hours, almost. In server? I just joined. I can see there needs to be some.. Work to be done with event planning.

Are you currently staff on a different server? Are you willing to leave that staff position for the one you are applying for?: I was staff somewhere else, but the server died so no, I guess I'm free.

Experience with staffing (ULX, other servers, etc.): I was event producer for a Clockwork HL2RP server called Shockcore Gaming, I was event handler for another HL2RP server called Rise/The Domain. I was also super admin on another server called Blue Dream. So I'd like to think I have experience running events/staffing.

I also run an Arma 3 MilSim group, that shouldn't conflict, though.

How active will you be on the server?: Daily, usually. I run a Arma 3 Zues group, so that might take up my time some days.

Explain why you're a better candidate than other candidates (75+ words): First I'd like to talk about my love for Halo. I grew up with Halo, so it helped shape who I was. I constantly try to absorb and learn the lore behind the games so I'd be able to create realistic events that would make sense inside of the Halo cannon. Along with that I've held various amounts of event handler/producer roles in serious RP servers, so i would know how to handle these events that I would create. I think of myself as a teamplayer, and there hasn't been a time where I haven't worked with a team to create the events that I have in the past. I am also willing to post the doc where I keep all of these events that I’ve created in the past.

Creating events shouldn’t be fun. The player should always take the front seat and matter the most out of anything else.This is a saying I follow, and anyone else should when creating events.

How do you plan to benefit the server? (50+ words): I plan on taking my previous experiences as a event producer and create some memorable, and fun experiences for everyone. I’ve had plenty of time working events under my belt and I honestly think that I am a wonderful pick for gamemaker. My previous experiences as event producers has taught me what players want, and how to find a nice balance between RP and Fun, active shooting.

I have experience running an Arma 3 group aswell, so I understand how to run combined arms/ infantry events. I know how to create a realistic flow of military-esk objectives.

What is In character and what is Out of character?: In-Character is where all the 'real' stuff happens. In-Character is well, in-character. Something happens, and you take it seriously and how your character would take it. Out-Of-Character is out of character. Stuff like this should usually be, mission details, flight plans, or mission locations. Usually stuff that's voided or not really supposed to be taken in-character should be OOC. This should be stuff like, the names of the gamemakers, teleport requests, or requests in general.

Are you willing to work with a Game Maker Team?: Yes.

What is the purpose of a Game Maker?: To create events that are fun for the players, not for the gamemaker. We're going to make fun and memorable events for the playerbase, not the gamemakers. We're here to immerse and create a fun environment for the players.

Give us a full event idea you have. ( 3 Paragraphs ): I'm not comfortable listing off event ideas that others could use and not credit me for (I've had bad experiences with that in the past and you will /NOT/ get a full fledged Halo-esk event idea from me prior to me being accepted). I am, however, willing to give one of my HL2RP events doc.

This doc covers how I ran/run events. A basic overview, who'll be needed and what'll happen and in what order. Any specifics/questions would be asked/said inside a event producer meeting prior to the set up.

I Supp0WND Agree and understand that i am not staff, and it is not my job to do staff duties, unless there is 0 staff on i will not use my commands unless needed. I also agree that i will not noclip/abuse my powers.

Apply when you have more time in server. In the past we’ve had really experienced Gamemaker jump right into gamemaking on our server from a different one, and found themselves really disappointed when they did their first event. Take time to learn and grow into the community and it’s flow.

In this fact I see problems with you working in a team as you have trust issues and the team needs to be able to trust each other if its going to work. Other than that just a minor note, you also posted goto twice in the ulx command section.

It's not as simple as 'oh that's from someone's application'. The issue is that no-one would notice since I doubt everyone looks over these applications. I've had issues with my work being stolen in the past, and due to that I have to deny creating a fully fledged event for the sake of an application.

And who's to say that a lazy GM wouldn't use these event ideas once I leave the server? Or anyone else for that matter?

I've been plagiarized before, and I don't want it to happen again.

The event document is something only meant to be seen by the back end and fellow staff. It is a guideline for how the even will function and so forth. And like I said in the application, everything would of been went over and explained in a game maker meeting prior to the event happening.

had it happen, sucks, but at the end of the day its a game. Whether I execute an event or someone else does, as you said the job of a game maker is to make a fun experience for the player. I'll tell you what though, the game maker team here works hard and helps each other plenty. I can definitely assure you that they do not go searching through GM apps for event Ideas, half of the GMs have their own overarching plot and faction that they make players fall in love with. the other half are getting settled and comfortable with being a GM before moving on to the big projects.



Personally I feel that portions of the application come off a bit too much... hubris. I havent met you in game so maybe thats my issue, but your comments are also putting me off. as a leap of faith, put down an event and just put it out there. It wont be taken. Our GM team does fine on it's own. Get a little more acclimated before jumping on. get to know the server, the people.
