Zlap was born in one of many of High Charity's UBC's. [Unggoy Breeding Chambers.] Once Zlap turned to the age of six years old, he was officially an adult within the Unggoy ranks. He became a Minor Unggoy and was sent to his first battle in 2547 to fight against a human colony named Skopje. It was a successful mission and the planet was glassed. Zlap was one of the Hundreds of Unggoy to Survive and thus was Congratulated. He saw on an advertisement that the Special Operation team would do tryouts in three weeks time. This gave anyone trying out to train. It was his dream to join the best of the best. He trained for days until the tryout happens. While training he injured his right arm nearly breaking it. For the Special Operations group you must be in perfect health. Zlap really wanted to join their force and went anyway. The day the tryouts occurred, the Spec Ops Sangheili leaders were giving their speech, making sure everyone knew what they were getting into. The first course was a climbing test. Unggoy are one of the best Climbers in the Universe due to their body adaptations. Zlap however did not get far with one arm. The Special Operations leaders removed him from the tryouts and blacklisted him due to his lies. Nothing else is known about Zlap's career except he became and explosives expert in the field thus making him apart of the Heavy troops in 2549. Three years later High Charity was in the middle of a split due to The Great Schism. According to Zlap he was caught in the middle of the Schism not knowing which side to take. The Jiralhanae or the Sangheili. With the so called "Demon" running around this made things much harder for him. During battles on High Charity Zlap would take the side that was winning the most to survive. He made sure to avoid the Demon's warpath along the way. Zlap and another Heavy Unggoy named Ra-fa encountered The Flood. Ra-fa was consumed by a swarm of Infection forms. Zlap was now all alone. He threw a plasma grenade onto Ra-fa's body making sure he doesn't turn, while destroying the Infection forms. One of High Charities doors opened on the far side of the large room they were in. A swarm of Flood of all kinds came through. Zlap's fuel rod gun was out of ammunition. Ra-fa's body was near the middle of the large room. Near him, a fuel rod gun. Zlap made a hard sprint for the gun flailing his arms as he ran. The Flood were getting closer to the middle part of the room where Zlap's companion laid. The Heavy Unggoy grabs the fuel rod gun while struggling to put the ammo in. He backs up and fires two shots killing most of the flood. Not a lot is known of what happened next because we believe that he made some events up. But what we do know is that he somehow got off High-Charity.
