How long have you played on the server?: Not at all yet, since I haven't gotten a character, but I do have past experience roleplaying Mass Effect on FTAshes, for what it's worth.

Characters Name/Nicknames: Her full name is Kemessia Surion, and the extent of nicknames she has been given so far is limited to the shortening of her name as "Kem".

Characters Race:
Turian.

Requested position aboard the ship: Muscle; Rifleman. In the future, if properly trained could become some form of very minor biotic support.

Specific Gear, and Abilities:

Weaponry

- Phaeston Assault Rifle: The Phaeston was engineered to provide the best possible balance between accuracy and firepower in a machine gun. Each shot is tempered by kickback dampeners inside the shoulder stock, which lets the Phaeston pack more punch than other weapons its size without sacrificing precision. Its fully automatic fire and relatively light weight has turned the Phaeston into the Turian infantry's primary go-to weapon. Her Phaeston is currently factory-standard in terms of parts and attachments, though it does have a jet black paintjob to the main body, instead of the typical dull yellowish color.

- M-3 Predator Sidearm: Manufactured by Elanus Risk Control, the M-3 Predator is valued as a deadly, reliable, and relatively inexpensive weapon. It is effective against armored targets, though it falls short against biotic barriers and shielding. Her Predator is currently factory-standard in terms of parts and attachments, as well as appearance.

Armor

- Duelist Medium Hardsuit: Also produced by Elanus Risk Control, the Duelist Hardsuit is produced in several different variations for multiple different species, and the version Kemessia posseses is, obviously enough, the version intended to be worn by Turians. It provides moderate protection against physical and ballistic damage, though falls short protecting against explosives, biotic powers, and the like. Kemessia's is painted dark blue in color, with small white stripes across it's surface.

Equipment

- Polaris Omni-Tool: Omni-tools are handheld devices that combine a computer microframe, sensor analysis pack, and minifacturing fabricator. Versatile and reliable, an omni-tool can be used to analyze and adjust the functionality of most standard equipment, including weapons and armor, from a distance. The fabrication module can rapidly assemble small three-dimensional objects from common, reusable industrial plastics, ceramics, and light alloys. This allows for field repairs and modifications to most standard items, as well as the reuse of salvaged equipment. Kemessia's omni-tool also comes equipped with a standard omni-blade.

Characters Alignment: Neutral, though she leans far more towards Paragon than Renegade.

Characters Backstory
Twenty seven years ago, on January seventeenth, a happily married and together Turian couple on their homeworld of Palaven were blessed with the birth of their first two children; a twin brother and sister, no less, who they named Varidus and Kemessia, respectively. Fortunately enough for them, they were both perfectly healthy, and were expected already to live long and well. Their father and mother -- Gaius Surion, and Kaelari Surion, again respectively -- were both in their upper fifties of age, and had lived a militarily-oriented life since they both reached the age of fifteen and went to their initial days of boot camp. They were strong believers in the ideologies of "Turian honor" and serving the society, leading them to raise their twin children to believe in much the same way. Gaius, for almost the entirety of his military career before reaching the age of thirty, served in the 76th Armistice Corps, and Kaelari, who had as a child been exposed to small amounts of Element Zero, served in a biotic Cabal squad, and because of her mother's latent biotic ability, the two children were increasingly likely to be biotically proficient as well. While this was not something they told their children, and it was not something they openly discussed, they both quietly feared the possibility, because of the prejudices dealt to all biotic Turians. The children, both blissfully unaware, learned and listened as children do to their parents about the world and their place in it, ever the curious pair. Their father told them stories of battles and wars he fought in what felt like very long ago, and these only fanned the growing flames of their desire to enlist just like their mother and father had.

By the time both Varidus and Kemessia reached the age of fifteen, both had grown, trained, and exercised themselves into young teens ready as one could be for the trials and tribulations of military boot camp, and their parents proudly sent the pair off with high expectations for their success. Up until this point, neither had displayed any signs of biotic ability, and the worry of such problems arising for either of their children had slowly vanished into the back of their minds. Initially, both performed excellently, with flying colors, infact, at boot camp. Their parents had raised them to be ready for this very moment in their lives, both physically, and mentally. They were respectful, dedicated, focused, and calm, and their overseers saw in them a successful military career in the future. They made it through boot camp painlessly, both being placed into the 26th Armiger Legion, a historically respected frontline combat unit. Here they would both serve well for two years alongside one another. However, eventually, the both were officially, and formally, brought in and tested for biotic ability before they could progress much further into their careers. This was, of course, due to their mother's successful history in the Cabal. The test was simple: they were instructed by a present Cabal veteran on how they would harness their biotic potential, to lift a small metal cube off of the ground. It was something that even the most untrained and clueless of biotics could likely accomplish without too much effort and strain on their part. Of the two, Varidus was to attempt first, and after several minutes of attempts, it was clear he was not biotically apt. However, things turned out differently for his sister. Kemessia, though at first it appeared that she too had no proficiency and required a great deal of effort from her, eventually succeeded in moving and slightly lifting the block, making it evident that she had, if even only to a small degree, had inherited biotic capabilities from her mother.

Both brother and sister were.. surprised, to say the least, having not even known themselves what their mother had been, since they had never bothered to actually ask her. As a result of this test, Varidus was allowed to remain in active military service with the 26th, but Kemessia was to be taken away for further extensive training under the Turian Cabal, a possibly lengthy and impressive career dashed just short before it could take off, the young girl now frowned down upon by the masses of Turian society. Much to the young Cabal aspirant's distraught, however, her biotic powers were, in truth, almost pitifully minor and nonexistent. Unlike her mother, and all who succeeded in the Cabal, she could not muster the ability to perform such techniques as short-range teleportation, enhancement of speed and physical capabilities, and other combat-capable biotic abilities that were staples of the Cabal units. Because of these shortcomings, the young Turian was even pushed aside by the Cabal who were supposed to train her, dismissed as one who could not ever be proficient enough to become one of them. This left her on a terribly narrow path for what she could ever become; most who fell into the same situation she was now in became naught much more than medical personnel, or maintenance workers if they still wished to serve in some way in the military. Neither of these options were appealing to the now directionless Turian, and she knew there was no other good work for her left in a strictly Turian society that would now only look down upon her. She remained on Palaven for another three years, unsure of what to do with herself or where to go.

With few other options to choose from, at the age of twenty Kemessia decided to leave her home planet and any chance of finding her path there, in hopes of finding a better future amongst a more welcoming crowd somewhere out in the galaxy. Her first ideal destination was, of course, the Citadel. The biggest mixing pot of cultures and races, and the place with the most opportunities for her to find another way for herself. Upon her arrival, she was lost and unsure of herself. In terms of belongings, she had nothing more than just a few sets of clothes in a case, an omni-tool, and a few credits to keep herself afloat. She knew she needed to find a decent-paying job, and quickly. One of the first places she laid her eyes upon was C-SEC, something always needing more potential members to it's ranks, and something not all too unpopulated by fellow Turians. She figured that it would probably be the most similar, and most comfortable place to start, if anywhere, and as soon as she got herself settled into a semi-comfortable living space with a lower-end apartment and a few necessary items, she applied.

Another Turian was gladly welcomed by the others already in that sector of the Citadel, and it got her a little bit of favor with those none-the-wiser about her somewhat troublesome recent history. To them, she was just another Turian away from home. Kemessia, since she still retained her disciplined attitude from her brief military service, as well as her own personal generally friendly personality, she was accepted into the C-SEC force under the Enforcement branch, which she would serve in loyally and surprisingly rather uneventfully for the next seven years of her life.

After so much time in one place, though, she inevitably grew a desire for something more exhilarating. Something more filled with action, something more like the military she once lived to join. She resigned from her longstanding position in C-SEC -- though she never accepted any high ranking positions, feeling it was just not her place -- and began to research and look into possible alternative occupations for herself. The field that caught her eye the most were PMCs, and she quickly grew an enthusiasm to at least give one a shot. During this search, she stumbled upon New Eden, and on a whim decided to apply for them, finding their purpose and history more noble than most. She detailed to them her military experience and past, as well as a brief summary of her history in C-SEC, to provide herself with a hopefully somewhat solid basis of veterancy to catch herself some favor with them.

What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden?: Her goal, while stereotypical as it may sound of a Turian, is that she wishes to help people in some way or another. Whether it be by aiding the other members of the ship in or out of combat, or doing odd jobs alongside them as well, she lives to help others. She also, as detailed at the end of her backstory, wishes to at least temporarily return to something resembling the military life she once lived for the sake of change in her growingly monotonous lifestyle. She could have been hired due to her past formal military experience, training, and skills, as well as completely clean criminal records marking her as a seemingly respectable and trustable former Turian soldier and C-SEC officer.

Small Note: Please let me know if I messed anything up, so I can fix it ASAP. I wrote this on-and-off over a few hours, so, I might've missed a couple of things here and there.

Add more backstory, if you wish to be a biotic.
Neutral for now.
Their biotics are very, very minor, to the point where they can't really do anything useful with it. Picking up a small object is really as far as her abilities can go, even under the tutelage of the Cabal. It's more to give a reason for why they aren't in Turian society anymore, since they always ship off those with ANY biotics, but at the same time her biotic capabilties weren't good enough for her to make it in the Cabal even as a minor unit, so they threw her out too. It's more to create the "I didn't fit in anywhere with my own people" backstory than actually something they do.

Calling her an actual "biotic" is like calling a child who picked up a toy strong, or a fresh conscript who managed to hit a target a marksman.

Unlike what Vicious says, this is a well-lengthened application, just by skimming through it. Maybe some small flaws (I'm unsure if you can pass down Biotics v.i.a genetics, might take eezo exposure always) but it's plenty good. Also, her Biotics are untrained as balls, so it doesn't matter.

Add more backstory, if you wish to be a biotic.
Neutral for now.

also, it's a bit bigger then your Cabal application.
