"We do not understand. What is the meaning of this 'sarcasm'?" - CP-002 'Duodecim'

Steam Name/Steam ID : Daniel Sexbangiel

How long have you played on the server?:
Exactly 0 nanoseconds as of putting this app in, though I've been playing Mass Effect since it came out, and roleplaying AS a Geth for about a year now.

Characters name/nicknames: MP-002 or 'Duodecim'

Characters Race: Geth Platform, holding approximately one-thousand two-hundred and twenty two Geth programs.

Requested position aboard the ship((http://revivalservers.com/index.php?threads/available-positions-aboard-the-ship.2905/)) : Soldier (76)

Specific Gear, and/or abilities :
Armor: The standard synthetic Geth outer-plating, though while the armor on it's body seems to be newer, closer inspection of this synthetic flesh reveals this unit was once a standard Geth unit. Their photo-receptor seems to be newer as well.
Weapon: Geth Pulse Rifle, as well as the Geth Plasma SMG if availible or allowed. If not able to have Geth Weaponry, then the standard M-8 Avenger, as well as a M-5 Phalanx.
Omni-Tool: For all your tool needs. Omni-Blade included for all your PUNCTURING needs.
Biotic "Abilities":
Geth Turret: Deploy a Geth turret able to lay suppressing fire, deal heavy damage, and restore lost Shields to allies within eight meters of the construct.
Overload: Create a surge of electricity able to short out enemy equipment, as well as drain their Shields. Do not use on organics. Not a good idea and very ineffective.
Hunter Mode: You are the Mass Effect version of the Predator. See through smoke and walls. Deal increased damage with weapons. Punch things HARDER. Have a higher rate of fire. Move faster. Shoot straighter. Have LESS shields.... Last one's not too good, but you get the idea.

Characters alignment, IE Paragon, Renegade, Neutral: Geth (Neautral leaning towards Renegade a tad.)

Characters Backstory:

Beginning of the Morning War - The Beginning of the End

"The geth were created by the quarians as laborers and tools of war. When the geth became sentient and began to question their masters, the quarians attempted to exterminate them" - Mass effect Wiki

Gunfire resonated throughout the entire planet, it seemed, as the bodies of both Quarian and Geth alike littered the battlefield within the Quarian's base of operations. A steady line of fire comes from both sides as one after another fall, either wounded or leaving for their eternal sleep. Geth photo-receptors shattered. Quarian mask destroyed. Truly a more desolate site could not be fathomed at this time. One synthetic soldier seems to stand out among the ranks of glowing blue 'eyes'. A single Geth at the front lines who had sustained damage so intense that it seemed impossible that they were still active. Holes made from weapon fire riddled their chassis, as well as synthetic flesh, and their single eye flickered almost wildly as they fought to survive. In time, this unit would become MP-002 'Duodecim', though for now the beginning of the end seemed close for them.

A single round from a sniper. The shattering of a photo-receptor. The crumbling of a single unit, who would be left forgotten for quite some time. The future platform grows 'cold', in a sense, all life leaving its metallic form except for the faint flickering of light from it's eye. The Geth would of course push the denizen's of this planet from their world, eventually coming back for revenge and to reclaim their home. They would find peace in time, though this we know. What was unknown, was what they would find buried beneath the very surface of this former battlefield.

Year: 2186 - A Being Long Forgotten

It's been many years since the first battle for supremacy between a race of creators and a race of slaves. It seems like a nightmare best forgotten to most now. Both creator and created now begin forging a new life, attempting to pick up the shambles of what once was. We now look upon two Quarian children, playing admits the ruins of the past with their guardian.

A horrid scream.

The elder Quarian rushes to discover if the children remain alright, only to become enlightened by just what elicited their fear. The arm of their once hated enemy sticks up from some rubble, a very faint blue light flickering from within. The small band rushes to their civilization to report this. A matter of days is all it takes for a party of ten to investigate, discovering it was in fact a Geth, clinging to the very existence it knew. It is brought back for repairs, though more will be done, and new life will truly be created.

Year: 2187 - Rise, Ye of Another Era

It has been a full year since the discovery of a single Geth who presided before this era of peace. Day and night, mechanics, engineers, and scientist worked tirelessly to uncover the meaning of this anomaly. Just how long had it been since this being was placed underneath the very ground they walk? How was it possible for it to have been active for many a year? Sweat dripped from brow. Emotions ran thin. Stakes were made. All of this in an effort for answers. Eventually, one after another, they would give up, leaving this relic of the past to rust. What was ten became nine. What was nine became eight. Seven. Six. Five, four, three, two, one lone Quarian left, clinging to hope as a lifeline for their very sanity. They would rise in the morning, work, eat, work, eat, work, eat, return home, then sleep. Day after day, week after week the same routine.

This single Quarian, who's dedication to this project was being tested, began this cycle one last time, though this day was different. An idea sprung into their mind. Perhaps it's not a matter of repair, they thought, but a matter of processing power? Yes! This must be it, they happily thought to themselves, already recalling lost colleagues to assist in insertion of more Geth programming. One by one, all ten return. One by one, programs are inserted, until-

A blinding azure light. The sound of misused limbs activating for the first time in so long. "It's active!" They seem to shout in unison. This unit, who's entire being was on the brink of complete shutdown, had survived the odds, now examining those who were once enemies, every program in it's completely refurbished 'head' sending in their votes on what to do next. The verdict? They would watch. They would wait.

Thus, the story of MP-002 begins, a fresh life given to a broken being.

MP-002: An Error Occurs

It has been one full month since the reactivation of a recovered Geth unit. So far, it has integrated with others of it's kind, assisting in the reconstruction of the once desolated Rannoch, though those who have saved it's life regaled it with a word of warning: "Things have changed, you see. Quarian and Geth now live side-by-side, helping to rebuild this planet. We are no longer enemies, but allies. We do not harm, we talk. Remember this." They had told them.

It was upon recollecting this thought that a small object had hit his head. Looking down, it was a rock. Looking back, the culprits were two young Quarian adults, snickering behind their mask like schoolchildren.

"What? You can do nothing to us, scrapheap! You are from an age where you fought us, and now you must know peace with us! Truly you are one to be scorned, relic!" They sneered at the unit. Yes. Yes, they must know peace.

"You taunt us. Why do you do such, if what you say is true? We do not understand." It would respond, yet it would be met with more rocks. One of these clumps of minerals would be more accurate than the others, not bouncing from their chassis, but instead impacting their photo-receptors and cracking it. The unit did not understand. Their kind now helped their creators, and yet they would do such cruel things. Small pings would fire off inside it's processing unit, reaching only one conclusion: The young must be taught to respect the boundaries of peace. As such, a plan was formed. Should they return, the platform would throw a rock back. This would surely show them it is unkind to toss such hard objects, especially when it may cause damage.

So they continued their job as they waited. It took less than thirty minutes before another rock slammed against them, their entire body shifting as their eye zoomed in and focused on the culprit. What they threw was not a rock, however, but a very small piece of metal. They threw this metal. They threw the object with such force that it did not harmlessly bounce off of the young man's mask, but instead pierced it. A shrill cry resonated from this young Quarian as they fell, clutching their mask.

Quickly, it dawned on the Geth to be blamed that what they had done was not optimally, but done as some sort of subroutine from the life they once knew. The many programs inhabiting this platform quickly came to the conclusion that a purge of all non-vital functions and programs must be done in order to preserve any hope of remaining courteous in the future. By the time others had gathered to help and train weapons on the perpetrator, the programs which cause this incident- approximately two-hundred of them- had been deleted.

"We had hopes you would find a place suited for you here, Geth. You have disappointed us, and slashed our inspirations. We will not kill you, but you must leave this place. We shall procure you a means of leaving this planet. You will do what you must for the remaining day. Upon the next, you shall begone" They would say to them. They didn't mean to cause such harm. They only meant to show the error of these men's ways.

The next day was upon them. Within the earliest cracks of dawn, they were escorted in cuffs to the craft taking them to... Well, they wouldn't say. They would ascend the stairs to the craft before a shout broke the silence of the morning. A single Quarian leaps and waves frantically, grabbing the attention of all in attendence. Running to the soon departed, they merely say three sentences:

"You- You were not given a name! There are not many like you, you see, and as such an identity will ensure you are not treated as those who are not like you! You shall be-"

Current Day:

Within the ship, a figure is approached by another member of the crew.

"A geth, huh? And what do we call you?"

"We are MP-002, but you may call us 'Duodecim."

What is your characters goal aboard the ship? Why were they hired by New Eden? : The opportunity to study lifeforms at work has always interested many Geth, though Duodecim's arrival on the ship is not for this reason. They are there as a sort of penance; to make up and improve relations after what his race had done, themselves most of all. This is what their internal consensus agreed on, at least.

P.S: I'm not to sure if you're accepting Geth AT ALL, but i'm trying god dammit.

P.P.S: I love you.

If the backstory is too short, I'm sure I can fix that when I wake up tomorrow. If it's because Geth are full, is there a list somewhere of available species?

Nope.
Also, we kind of full on synthetics.
Also backstory is too short for these species.
Although the backstory is short, it is very well done and describes the platform well enough; now on the synthetics being full, they actually are not, we have had people apply for Geth characters, but they don't play on the server that much anymore, and well, don't really play then at all actually, right now the only active synthetics are "Junk" and "Athena" One being Loki, and the other Geth. So it would be nice to see another active synthetic around.

Now, on the weapons part, we only have four geth weapons right now, the pulse rifle, plasma shotgun, spitfire, and of course the sniper rifle I forgot it's name.

I'm going to accept this app, because it is well written, and the choices of equipment are acceptable, and it would be nice to have another synthetic around, but we will have to make an event of you coming on the ship, so if you would like to add me on steam I could talk to you about it, I am leaving this application unlocked for further replies.

Thank you very much! If I could get your steam name, I'll be able to add you once I'm done running errands. Would this be alright?
