What are your thoughts about Director Zeus?

Problems that I find within O.N.I

1. In general my interactions with them have had about 60% of the members I interact with wanting to elevate themselves to a sense of superiority because they are apart of O.N.I
2. O.N.I entering the old S.O.S base on a whim or feeling they can rush underground to check if there is an event going on. Now I don't speak on behalf of the S.O.S but this thing stems into a respect issue.
3. Feeling untouchable. Now this is something that has clearly changed as of late with the arguments but it seems that some of the personal that are in O.N.I are, unprofessional to say the least. And I do understand that you do have doners that get in with money so that does tend to undermine the training of your faction.

Things I like about O.N.I!

1. Most of the higher people have decent respect! Note I said the higher ups do.
2. The higher ups try not to offend people
3. The higher ups will respect peoples wishes.

Now the big deal here is the fact that the lower ranking people in O.N.I are rude, ignorant, and think they are gods because of the faction they are in. But a solution would be to pull the leash tighter around the people you control!

1. We have had to deal personally with recruiting a bad batch of personnel and you are absolutely right in the statement that these lower ranking personnel have put a bad stain on our Organization. These personnel where as you said unprofessional and had an authority complex with did ill work for us as a whole. With that however we have removed a lot of those personnel and there is a reason why ONI is at its strength and why we consist of majority Higher up Veteran staff at the moment.

okay i should have been clearer with what i was trying to get across, this was something i left out and was actually the crux of what im trying to say, generally the higher ups are far more amicable people but as zeus has now mentioned that they had a bad batch clears it up


it was obvious the lower downs with a power complex were what bought ONI so low when Delta was in his twilight as director, amongst other things.

Ponk Ponk ( I am responding to Lee first because his thread was posted first ima get to Zeus as soon as possible )

1. I don't think I clearly stated why we were mad at ONI killing marines so let me try to rephrase it.

We are not angry at ONI for killing Marines for obvious stuff like walking into beta or assaulting an ONI personal. Those are perfectly reasonable reasons for an ONI to PK a UNSC. What we are mad about is when an ONI kills a Marine for doing something small when there are clearly better options like calling an MP or having him kicked or even having him demoted. We respect that sometimes ONI has to kill UNSC for doing stupid shit but it seems that the list of thing people can PK you for doing has grown to cover tiny things.

2. Ok this was a major event that pissed us off at ONI and it did PK one of our Honor Guard. Although I don't know if Zeus even took part in this assassination attempt so this one is not against him but against the people who let it slide and took part in it.

Also I know that ONI does the passing of the leader hat thing differently than the other factions. That's fine that it has to come through an assassination, what we were pissed about specifically is how and when. It happened at a pretty terrible time because it was right in the middle of negotiations for the whole ONI wikileaks fiasco. We are also mad that ( Now this is based purely on what I have been told so feel free to correct me on how this happened ) it was a simple case of William walking in with a few other people and just shooting Delta.

Again to be clear we arent mad because of who did it just how and when. It doesn't matter that it was William who shot her its just the manner in which he did it. Also I am not mad at Zeus for how he took power because he didn't have that much control over the situation.

Also of course ONI had problems before now, most of problems we have with Zeus's ONI are just stuff that has been there a long time but has increased in frequency lately.

If I may suggest this, I think having a section of the forums dedicated to listing the full reason and possible repeal of PKs would greatly help this situation. It would give people more power and a better sense of security over this whole situation.

A post has already been made detailed PK's, who can do them and when they are appropriate.

So, if people aren't following those general guidelines then please report them to server staff to have the situation dealt with accordingly.

Also, Zeus, why aren't Prowler allowed in ONI base?, they are an ONI division and lore-wise have been found in ONI facilities, i understand certain areas they wouldn't be allowed into, but why not just the outside bit or the reception area in ONI base. The only reason i ask this is something i found via the wiki:

The prowlers did have an opportunity to join ONI at one point, they even had a trial period of sorts, but I’m sure you can understand what happened based off where they currently stand. I won’t give explicit details, but basically, the cat got let out of the bag which was against the rules established.

I wasn't very clear. I was refering to a full on PK report having to be filed in the Forums, detailing who was PKed, and the reason for the PK. I think it would help clarify the reason behind many of the PKs that go on. For instance, there seems to be a lot of confusion as to how Delta's PK actually went down. Having PK reports for the public record could clear things up so that we don't have issues like this in the future. We might be able to use the Public Archives section of our forums for this.
