I feel like a Arma 3 Exile server if made carefully and had good management I know it will blow up. What do you think?

To be honest, Arma Servers die pretty fast. They die because they can get pretty repetitive. I have played the Arma series for years, and have owned Milsims as well as Exile servers. They die pretty fast.

GMOD has been slowly dying since 2014 when I joined and probably before that. It is a decade and a half old. Putting all of our eggs into a GMOD basket is ASKING to lose money one day when it dies FURTHER. For the financial and playerbase security of this community, we must try other games one at a time until SOMETHING works, or we are doomed to failure. This is true of every company that does not diversify, we are no different.

Which game do you recommend diversifying into?

Keep in mind, the creators of Arma, do not allow Server to give Donators special items when they Donate, it's prohibited. There would be no incentive for players who are newer, or do not know the Community to donate to assist the server.

Also, for games we could expand into, I think you guys should maybe look into other Source Games. I'm not saying Arma isn't a smart decision, it just wouldn't do as well as GMOD. Insurgency, the original one, as well as other Source games are pretty nice. My friend owns a modded Insurgency Server, and makes money off of people paying for slots.

Point taken, but Source itself is aging. Perhaps other donation friendly games? Are you aware of any?

Sounds good but people have poked some massive holes in it. Honestly we shouldn’t stick with Gmod until a new popular source comes out for us to expand to

While it is an interesting idea I do think that we should stay to GMod, Arma is intensive and a lot/primary players are on laptops.

So I dont figure it really being a great idea.
