I have had no experience as a staff member on any Garry’s Mod server before, however I do have a basic understanding of the ULX commands used.


How active will you be on the server?


I am usually on whenever I can be, but since I’ll be starting college soon (August 27th), I’ll have to find a way around my schedule.

I’m usually on during most hours of the day. You’ll see me on most days, unless I have more important things to take care of. College will be coming up soon, and that will make me very busy, so we’ll see.


Explain why you're a better candidate than other candidates (75+ words):


I would like to say that in my time being on this server, I have been through many events made by game makers. And while most of them were when I was a marine, I didn’t get to see much action in them as such a role. I would like to make my events as well rounded and free for everyone else as possible, even giving the lowest roles an assignment in an event. I would like to think I’m crazy about Halo’s lore, and I’m sure most people can agree with me. I have played every mainstream Halo game from Halo: CE to Halo: Reach… And yes, I’ve played 4 and 5. I look for information on websites, certified books made by the creators of Halo, and am very knowledgeable about it. This is one of the first RP servers I’ve ever been on in Halo, and while I haven’t played Gmod for very long, I can learn how to use the commands and props, to integrate them into my events and storytelling. I’m already an avid roleplayer, and combined with my knowledge of Halo as a whole, I plan to use the lore of the server, and Halo’s to create stories on this server.


How do you plan to benefit the server? (50+ words):


I always seem to be online, which is a huge amount of my free-time dedicated to this server. While my in-game time states I’ve been on for a total of only six days, I believe I’ve been on this server for over three weeks already. Most people dedicate only an hour or two to staying online to this server, while most of time I’m always on doing nothing, waiting for events to happen. As a gamemaker, I plan to involve people that aren’t usually involved majorly in events (like Marines, or Naval), ONI is always involved, yeah, but I mean actual Naval. As a game maker, I would dedicate my time to even helping during other game maker’s events, by being an event character to further along their stories, or just asking them what I could do to help (if they need it).

What is In character and what is Out of character?

In Character (IC): Is anything considered roleplaying, actions, and talking which is In Character is what people react to. It’s what enables you to take control of a character in roleplay.


Out of Character (OOC): Is anything considered not-roleplaying, and can be normal speech outside of roleplaying. You are, yourself. Anything OOC cannot be made IC, and if it is, it’s considered Meta-Gaming.

What is the purpose of a Game Maker?

A Game Maker, is someone who creates content in roleplay. Such as an event, a story by which people are immersed in. Game Makers are the people who differentiate from normal casual roleplay, in which people just do their own thing.


Give us a full event idea you have. ( 3 Paragraphs )


[Event: “Assault on Kelios I”] Map: rp_tfghalov5


On a typical day, the UNSC “Resurrection”, an orbital defense platform in orbit of a Swords of Sanghelios (and Hearts of Jiralhanae) controlled planet (designated Sera by HoJ). Has an Autumn-class Heavy Cruiser, identified as the UNSC “New Dawn” CA-216 and it’s escort of three frigates (A Paris-class, UNSC “Requiem” FFG-173, Stalwart-class UNSC “Equity” FFG-193, and Charon-class UNSC “Fall Leaves” FFG-202) hang around the station, while the “New Dawn” docks to the station via one of it’s gantries. It’s Commanding officer, Captain Lucas M. Archer, has sent Warrant Officer grade 1, Ethan Mercer, aboard “Resurrection” to call a briefing regarding an operation involving a planet in the Kelios System, of which Captain Archer and his escort fleet was assigned. On the recommendation that the personnel of “Resurrection” would be a good asset to his mission. The mission is to invade a planet named Kelios 1, a former UNSC R&D Planet, now controlled by the Covenant Remnant/Splinter group known as “Relevance”, led by former Covenant Imperial Admiral, Rux ‘Zagum. The main objective is to clear out Covenant forces, with a secondary objective to find missing research, left behind during the Human Covenant War.


The system has been scouted recently by the UNSC, and shows that the system is inhabited by a single CCS class cruiser and two SDV class corvettes, which the main bulk of ships will have to engage, and serve as protection for the “Fall Leaves” as it heads towards Kelios 1, breaking through its atmosphere and establishing a foothold.

PTS's will be handled after briefing, if there are any, they will be answered.

At the call to end the briefing, UNSC forces aboard the station will report to hangers (Hangers 1 & 2, if anymore pelicans are needed, they will be placed for personnel to board, depending on the number of pilots online. In Hangers 3 & 4, SoS will have a Phantom [Green-Colored] and HoJ will have a Spirit [Red-Colored]). In essence, forces will be taken to their destination by the UNSC “New Dawn”, and then deployed through the UNSC “Fall Leaves”. Support throughout the mission will be supplied by the “New Dawn” and it’s two other escorts.


(After all personnel present are off station, the map will change “rp_tfghalov5” and players will spawn. Upon giving enough time to players to re-do bodygroups, pac, etc, a mass bring will be announced and players will be brought. Unless it’s a map in which players spawn in a ship with a hanger).


[Vehicles to be used include]


  • 1 D77H-TCI Pelicans for ferrying supplies and troops to the surface. (Can, and will be replaced if destroyed)

  • 1 ONI D77H-TCI Pelican for transporting ONI personnel.

  • 2 UH-144 Falcons for quick, effective troop relocation and evacuation. (Can, and will be replaced if destroyed)

  • 2 AV-14 Hornets for aerial-to-ground support, as well as aerial-to-aerial combat. (Provided to Air-Force, can be replaced if destroyed)

  • 3 AV-22 Sparrowhawk for aerial-to-ground support, as well as aerial-to-aerial combat. (Provided to Air-Force if shit hits the fan ONLY)

  • SoS/HoJ Vehicles can be requested and spawned upon request.

  • Dupes (such as M12-FAVs [Warthogs], etc, can be spawned on request)

First Tasking [As assigned by Baseplate/Command (Most likely me as WO1 Ethan Mercer)] will have to be rushed upon entry.


Set-up includes:

  • Giant platform will be made for people’s vehicles to be spawned on, as the “Frigate”

  • Mass bring will be initiated.

  • People are to get lined up in their respective regimental lines, if someone has the “PTS” text wall, they can put it up, as well as a line for people to stand at.

  • Pelican, Falcons will be spawned in (along with requested HoJ/SoS vehicles)

  • Enemies in the beginning base will be spawned in during this time.

Mission Start


  • Marines and ODSTs get first tasking.

  • Marines and ODSTs will be taken to the UNSC base in the corner of the map and land, to combat covenant enemies.

    • Covenant squads on the outside ring of the base [10 total], will be consistent of: 2 Sangheili Ultra, 1 Sangheili Major, 5 Sangheili Minor

    • Covenant squads on the interior of the base [3-4], will be consistent of: 1 Sangheili Spec-Ops, 4 Sangheili Ultra, 3 Sangheili Major, 3 Sangheili Minor

After Beginning


  • Upon clearing base, and radioing all-clear. Mission will begin in full force (bring other forces to UNSC base). Hornets will be spawned at UNSC base (along with requested HoJ/SoS vehicles, Banshees). ONI/SoS/HoJ will be given their objective separately (by me). ODSTs will continue with Marines in clearing Covenant from the area on the planet, Army will join them. (Enemy squads will be spawned at the Innie base around the LZ for the CCS and inside of it, also will be spawned at the city).

  • Marines, ODSTs, Army will be taken to the UNSC R&D base (The city on the map) to recover intelligence leftover from when the planet was formerly attacked during the war, UNSC forces (Marines and ODSTs) will land at the landing zones (helipads) in the city while taking flak (hope the pilots can land well!), and will proceed to clear the Covenant forces from the LZ, then Army will be hot-dropped off via Pelicans once they radio in all clear.

  • Covenant dropships will come in (the type which shoot at you)

    • Marines will have to make use of the terrain, buildings and such, enemies will not be spawned in the hallways of buildings due to them being tight and hard to fight in. ODST should be fine. Army can make use of jetpacks to get on top of buildings and provide covering fire from higher up.

      • Covenant Squads outside of the buildings (near LZ) and in main city streets [Max 10] will be consistent of: 1 Sangheili Zealot, 3 Sangheili Ultra, 2 Sangheili Major, 5 Sangheili Minors, 5 Kig’Yar (Shield Versions)

      • Boss Fight, inside of the main objective room for UNSC (the generator building with thexxx consoles, marines will have datachips to use to gather information, if Naval Spec Task Force is on, they’ll accompany marines) will be consistent of: 3 Sangheili Zealot, 5 Sangheili Ultra, 2 Sangheili HG, 8 Sangheili Spec-Ops.

      • After clearing the building, UNSC forces will radio in clear. They will capture mission critical information, and leave the area via Pelicans/Falcons back to UNSC FoB.


  • ONI will be assaulting the Covenant Landing zone, boarding the vessel, taking intel on the locations of the fleet the CCS cruiser was assigned to, as well as data on the planet the Covenant had taken/formed. They will have the choice to detonate the vessel, or give it up to the SoS/HoJ forces in the mission zone. SoS and HoJ will accompany ONI forces aboard the ship, while also assisting on the ground in battle. Two SoS will head to the bridge with ONI, since they’re familiar with the layout of a CCS class.

    • Enemy Squads near the LZ [5 Squads]: 3 Sangheili Major, 3 Sangheili Ultra

    • Mini-Boss Fight: 8 Sangheili Spec-Ops, 1 Zealot, 2 Hunter Spec-Ops, 2 Sangheili Ultra. (Spawn them as ONI approaches the gravity lift)

    • Enemies onboard ship (Hangar Bay), A Spirit and a Phantom will be inside the hanger bay (if ONI chooses to detonate the ship, they can take one of these out, with SoS/HoJ piloting or return via grav-lift to their pelican if they left it there). Assorted Covenant Troops are inside the hangers, Spec-Ops Sangheili, Minor Sangheili, Major Sangheili, Hunter Spec-Ops. Taking either the left or right doors from the hanger will reveal a Hunter Spec-Ops on each side. 6 Sangheili HG will lead up to the bridge doors, with four inside, and the Shipmaster (An event character). Upon reaching the bridge, the combined ONI/SoS that headed for the bridge will engage the HG, and subdue the Shipmaster (will be killing a Zealot to “subdue” in which an event character will take his place), taking him alive.

    • Upon subduing the Shipmaster, they will find that the ship reactors are about to go critical, and the SoS will have to shutdown this. (This will be done in RP /radio [RP]).

    • ONI will take mission critical information, and the shipmaster hostage, and choose to release the ship for HoJ/SoS, or completely destroy it.

  • Special little pop-ups (enemy encampments, HVTs, etc,) will be given during the event to keep people on their toes and entertained. Like a mini-boss fight including: 2 Hunter Minors inside of one of the large storage buildings in the city. Some of these will be announced by baseplate. If there are any other ideas, do tell.

  • During the event, Air-Force will most likely be assisting in evacuation, transporting troops, combating enemy air vehicles, such as banshees, etc,. Those in SoS/HoJ permitted to fly, will be given banshees and can assist UNSCAF.

Upon successful mission completion, UNSC/SoS/HoJ forces will evacuate from the area via their own respective craft (if ONI detonated the CCS, SoS/HoJ will return to the UNSC “Fall Leaves” for evacuation). The battle in space, above the planet between the “New Dawn”, and it’s two other escorts “Equity” and “Requiem” against the CCS and SDVs in orbit resulted in UNSC victory, and the enemy was unable to send more teams to the ground because of this. All ships will slipspace out of the area, and head back for UNSC “Resurrection” and the planet “Sera”.


(“Slipspace” signals map change to “revival_halo_v3”.)


  • Warrant Officer grade 1 Ethan Mercer will call for UNSC debriefing aboard the station. People may ask for PTS's, I'll try to answer them the best I can.

    • SoS/HoJ can have their own respective debriefing if they so choose.
  • Any mission critical information is to be given to a present ONI/Naval Intel Officer. [If none are present, hand it to Ethan who will relay it].

  • If permitted, the UNSC “New Dawn”, and her escorts will remain around the UNSC ODP “Resurrection” to help defend it.

+1 Seems as if he has a well rounded event and I know he takes things serious in RP he would make a good addition to the team
